I purchased a 2022 Himiway King Cobra back in July and so far I am very happy with purchase. Didn't want to spend too much and didn't want to go too cheap. After talking to a lot of people and doing a substantial amount of research I chose this eBike. It comes with a lot of features for $2300 and assembly was easy. Used it on an antelope hunt and it performed well.

I have the Himiway Escape and been having a blast. It's ideal for seniors, I'm 77 and its low to the ground, it's a step through and it moves really fast for me. Only drawback was it took me 6 months to get it.

I bought the Rad Rover 4 yrs. ago and it's been trouble free after a few warranty items.. they never questioned any complaint or problem.. just sent out new parts same day.. I've seldom seen the battery go down a notch and it has performed very well. I get asked about it and complemented on it many times. Very good in loose dirt also.

The Ariel Rider kemplar is by far the best deal right now. 1000 watt bafang custom motor peaks at 1800watts 52v 20Ah. Battery. It usually sells for $1999 you can also get a free rack for the back which usually retails for $150. I believe this is a promotional price only good through the end of May. It's faster, it has a longer range, it has disc brakes, yeah 👍 as far as fat tire beach cruiser style bikes go, this is by far the best deal.

I bought the Kawasaki fat tire sport touring bike... It's only a six-speed,, but it will do 120 mph in third gear... And if you speed shift in the fourth you just done the quarter mile in 10 and 1/2 seconds at 131 mph...

For me the Aventon wins hands down. Best looking e bike. The hydroformed frames is so sleek looking. Above average components and the front and rear bike lights are very good. Another big advantage is I have numerous bike stores that stock and preform work on this brand bike. Still can’t believe they sell it at the price. I purchased 2 of them. aventon doesn't even hold ariel rider kepler jock, except for frame is better& brakes a touch better other than that doesnt come close. kepler has brake/turn signals/bell/rear 70lb rack, 52v20ah battery, 1000w motor, 1040bwh,110nm. top speed 36. range 75+ 1799. now of course aventon has supposely batter CS because bigger and older company.

I just got a Himiway Zebra, and previously had a Rad Rover (earlier model), the Zebra is a lot of bike, faster than the Rad and the battery really can last over 60 miles which is insane, and I loved that it came with all the accessories, lights, fenders, rear rack, good tools, my only neg on the bike is it is heavy AF, I don't care what the specs say, I can barely lift the thing, and I could easily lift and carry the Rad up stairs ect., apart from the weight issue, I think the Himiway is the superior bike for the money, but I may have gone with a different bike buying today if I had known it was so heavy...

Now That's How to do a Review - Nicely Done. Just came from CNET E-Bike review - absolute joke. Unfortunately the micro village in middle of no where - with 1 bike shop - might as well be 1963'. So your review is vital in making a decision right the first time if one has to be drop shipped to the door. Now retired - it's not quite as easy getting around at will. I do like what I have seen with the sporty 20" fat tire with shocks - and that guy claimed he could drag a deer out of the woods with it on his 20" fat tire. One major challenge is fairly steep hill for 3-4 blocks getting back from grocery store, or the ever popular pub. Winter especially, where studs will be required. A few Moons ago racing the 500 class 4 stroke single on studs across the lakes and deep snow. So no stranger to that sport, as it did leave a mark as front tire tried to chainsaw it's way into chin hill climbing in winter with studs. It does look like cost will be mid 2K$, maybe more, But building one could be an option as well. That could be the ticket to find exclusive shop,, where that would be a hit to look into working at. Probably more fun than restoring WWII aircraft. Being E-Bikes are the next in line for E Flight. If a shop needs fully tooled guy, We'll try. Cheers

Excellent video, and agree that this is a very crowded segment! Aventon always impresses with their frames and finishes, though the forward part of the frame looks disproportionately large and angled, and I think Rad's semi-integrated battery design makes a better looking bike. The Cyrusher has great performance, almost as fast as my RadMini, but owners should avoid it if they lack self control. I don't have a Himiway bike, but I have acquired accessories though them, and they seem to be a really nice company to deal with. Rad has also been very supportive.

I have the Juiced Ripcurrent S (RCS) Fat eBike. The 52v 19ah battery and their new 1000w hub motor along with a very cool metrics display that allows you to control several metrics and see everything from ECU temperature to watt hours. You can also customizing battery cutoff point. The RCS has 9 speeds, cruise control and walk mode as well as 0 pedal assist up to unbridled Race Mode. Many other clever features. I have the older 52v 21Ah battery. It's more of a mega beast than Rad or Ariel and is well priced. Customer Service is not as good as Rad, but is improving.

My favorite is my Doheny fat tire 750watt. Foldable ebike. Dana Point California. Can't beat their customer service or the test ride. I love my bike. I had originally got a Blix Aveny and found it to be a bit of a long bike to maneuver. I'm 5'1". Anyway I haven't seen anyone test the Doheny at all on KZbin but a 12 year old boy!! Which btw did a great job.

Ecotric is very affordable and offers a lot!.This was my first choice! But I heard good things about the himiway for speed and aventon for built quality. Rad is good for service quality meaning if you have trouble with their bikes, they are easiest to service.

I use my 2021 rad runner too and from work and yes I have been using it during our canadian winter as well. So far I am not too impressed with my bicycle, because the motor feels underpowered for 500w , because I think it peaks at 500w , secondly my whole chain is rusted along with my freewheel . I have been regualarly using my chain lube but to no avail , since my bicycle is a white step thru , the entire back frame is yellow and my rims have yellow tint to it as well because of the rust. I like rad but they should improve their component quality.

Good Point on corrosion - when in Amsterdam - millions of bikes - they all sit outdoors all winter - and zero rust using quality stainless steel for all fasteners - so for sure the brand that takes this seriously - should be making an effort vs built only for California desert. I liked the bike I purchased in Amsterdam so much, I packed it on board and shipped it back with me to the US. That was $400 just for him. But they provided the $10 box. Cheers One point of riding in winter - if there is any trace salt slopped into - and you bring the bike back into warm zone - and any melting of ice/snow is present on the floor - this is the worst possible case for corrosion. It'll seep into spoke area then into rims and never dry - might as well be acid filled battery. It has to be washed off,, or left in cold garage or shed. A good Teflon white grease chain lube is the very best for protecting every moving part, from chain, brake level pivots, shifting cables,, etc. Twenty years later,, all parts still function as new. As Head tech for Honda motorcycles for 30- yrs,, some stuff is never forgotten.

I have the Shengmilo MX02S which is a great work horse of a bike, I use it for commuting to work in all weathers & have over 700 miles on it so far. I also have a RadRover/Rhino 5. Which I have not taken out of the box yet, Which might sound strange, But when Rad pulled the Rover/Rhino 5 off the US market. I wanted to get it before they did the same here in Europe. I prefer the battery replacement options the Rhino 5 gives you over the Rhino 6 plus, You are tied into purchasing a replacement battery from Rad with Rover/Rhino 6 plus because of the design of integrated frame battery. Great review! Though I don’t understand why there is rarely a mention of the VoltBike Yukon 750 in popular reviews. This bike is similar to the Radrover 6,with integrated battery,hydraulic brakes and similar bafang hub motor. The company is headquartered out of Canada with a competitive price of $1900 and $50 shipping.

Sorry to see the Juiced Ripcurrent S wasn't reviewed. It towers over the Rad Rover in every way with one of the biggest batteries available - 52V 19Ah. The RCS is a class 3 with a new 1000w rear hub motor and 9 speed cassette. The display screen allows you to go in and change several metrics. It gives you real-time info and things like the ECU's temperature. The bike has "walk mode" and "race mode" and several assist levels along with a 1050w headlamp and there's a step-thru version as well.

Magicycle! Caught a good price point this winter and love it, love it, love it! Power, hill climbing, range 35 miles plus. And with the upgraded mechanical brakes they added I have had no problem at all. When you can lock up the tires, what more can you do? And customer service is fantastic. They just added 2 more models this month. I think Magicycle does not get enough love!

More nimble and range but it all comes down to user preference. I'm fairly certain you can go to 4" tires on the RadRunner but you might want to verify with Rad or check the forum to be sure: radowners.com

Have 5600+ miles on my Pedego city commuter. Nice bike and few little probs but Pedego bent over backwards to keep me happy. expensive but 20 miles a day, every work day May through September = great and reliable mid motor commuter. Unfortunately, it seems to have been discontinued.

I have been enjoying many of your videos. I am a 6’ tall 67-year-old man and have been looking to purchase my first ebike. I am interested in the fat tire ebikes for a comfortable ride on both paved rural streets and our local dirt roads & trails. I am intent on purchasing a bike from a local bike shop. I have found one shop that carries the Denago Fat Tire, another that carries the Aventon Aventure 2, And another that carries the Rad Rover 6+. The bikes are priced nearly the same. The Denago advertises the greatest range per charge and higher number of amp hours. The Aventon Aventure comes with an extra battery. The RadRover 6+ costs a little less but has a cadence sensor and much lower range per charge. I have watched your videos for all 3 bikes and would appreciate your overall opinions as well as any feature comparisons you would consider notable. Any other brand/models I might want to look at? Is either bike easier to add features that might give me a more comfortable ride like more swept back handlebars or a suspension seat post? Thank you for all the work you put into helping educate people about ebikes.

I have Aventon Avenger, I want to put smaller sprocket in front, it comes with 12-32 8 speed sprocket in the rear and 170 46 Teeth front sprocket....how small can I go and not have any shifting issues?

Himiway has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, they make good bikes, but if you have a problem you may be in big trouble, and I think any reviewer should also review customer service, with every company(bike) they review, or else your really just a salesman exploiting your subscribers....That is information people need to know and it's simplistic to acquire, if you make a living off of your subscribers, and selling bikes, it's the very least you could do and I would say it's your responsibility...

Sounds like you're doing an endorsement for rad power bikes well they're rad mini they cheapened up used to be 14 99 with a front suspension now they've got one at 1299 no front suspension and they did a few other things to it to bring it into that price point if you want to talk about low and bang for the buck let's talk about the Vtuvia SF20 It is 1299 has a 750 watt motor 48 by 13 on the battery half twist-grip throttle comes with a front fork suspension comes with lights comes with a rear rack has a rating of 330 lb another one to consider is the Ratten LF 750 that also comes in at 12 99 and also has Shimano stuff on it has a 750 watt motor comes with lights and a Rack I would say the hey bike Ranger but now they've increased to: 16 99 and it only has a thumb throttle you talk about the red Power bikes having support while that's if you live in California or Oregon doesn't do anybody much good in the rest of the part of the United States

We are lucky enough to have tried out quite a few models. However a Surron is not one of them. With the lack of pedals we don't consider the Surron an "ebike". But they do look like a lot of fun to ride. -JT

Hands down, the Espin Nesta Folding E-Bike is the best all-around Class 3 E-Bike for the money at $1600 - $1700. How this E - Bike gets over- looked for the likes of the Rad Mini / Rover 6 is beyond me from a price to performance perspective.

I'm on a waiting list for that one. The video of it pulling a camper down the highway was wicked. I would definetly put it up against the Quiet Cat Jeep for it's ability to climb, it has massive torque.

I fail to see the advantage of fat tire bikes except for specialized circumstances which I bet most people who ride don't generally encounter. The disadvantages likely outweigh the advantages as a whole. Look them up.

I agree with you. I bought a fat tire because the one I bought had good specs and price. Bolton ( now Area 13.) The fat tires, imho, is a distinct disadvantage for steering especially for semi urgent steering. Fine for straight.

I'm in the market for a fat tire ebike. I want a ebike that has park assist in the pedaling I want to feel like I'm getting a workout on my bike but with the assist in case I need more sis do to my knees I would like to stay under 2500 dollars in this shopping is feeling a bit overwhelming with all the bikes out there period I'm happy to buy from your KZbin I just would like to know what your opinion is for the bike period I really like the rad bike but I see it doesn't have torque assist it has the other one forgive me I don't remember what it's called period

I don't get the attraction with fat tyre bikes! They work well on sand, I'll agree with that. BUT why do you want extra weight and more rolling resistance??? Ultimately they suck your battery dry quicker and are harder to pedal and harder to lift in and out of cars and up steps. It seems to me to be just a "fashion" thing rather than a useful thing.

Probably depends on where you live. I'm near So Nevada and Arizona. Lots of sand.

They are great for mixed terrain. If you ride exclusively on well maintained pavement then a fat bike will probably just annoy you with its added weight and being very difficult to pedal manually. For all other mixed urban riding and light trail use, I love my Aventure fat bike. Downside - With the cadence sensor, it is NOT good for technical trail riding at all, it fact it can be downright dangerous.
