Great selection here Nicolette, 'Return of the Hero' is definitely a favourite and very rewatchable - some more recommendations if you haven't seen them yet would be 'Mon Inconnue,' 'Hors de Prix' and 'Les Émotifs Anonymes,' all so much fun with truly charming performances all round. I also recently watched a non-comedic romance that I think you might appreciate called '3 Coeurs' with the legendary Catherine Deneuve and Charlotte Gainsbourg, this is one of those gems that remind you of how well the French can do a straightforward romance as much as comedic ones, hope you enjoy. :)

Are all these movies on Netflix? 2nd, is there enough French content on Netflix to last a lifetime? I have TV5Monde from Dish, which I watch hours a day, and my fave series are Les Petits Muertres d'Agatha, humorous and heartwarming, and a cartoon series done in soft pastel watercolors, Ernest et Celestine. It's is sweet and charming, and just as enjoyable for adults as children. I do love Gérald Depardieu and Daniel Auteuil in Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources, a two-part film, not light-hearted but a great work of art.

And one more thing, sadly, TV5Monde does not typically always have the top-notch movies, I think b/c their budget doesn't allow it. More than enough good to very good stuff, though.

Thanks for giving this a watch and subscribing! :) The African Doctor is on Netflix. The rest of them are on different platforms...I know Return of the Hero is on Tubi (which I watched using their free trial) and Lost in Paris is on AmazonPrime. I just did a YT video specifically for French Netflix shows, though! There are a ton of amazing French show/movie options on there, I still have so many left to see. + I'll have to check out your recommendations! Merci ✨
