Paul, I’ve watched many of your videos and each one has been extremely informative, easy to understand and very helpful. I recently purchased the PolarPro circular polarizer and ND (6 stop) filters. I’m really anxious to try them out on my Canon 80D. I’ll be attempting to capture the lunar eclipse tonight. Your videos on how to expose the moon, which I’ve used to capture some great images, should help but of course I’ll be using slower shutter speeds due to less light with the eclipse. Thanks for sharing your expertise!

Paul so gutted for you , I swore watching your video ,hope you have got the Canon 80 d repaired . I have only used the polariser filter .I shoot touring cars and when it's a bright or very sunny day I use the polariser .1.it helps get rid of the white refection of the glass and you can see the driver . 2.touring cars have some great colours , advertising ect and the polariser filter on bright days really helps to pop the colours out . Very interesting video really enjoyed watching it .

Iknow this is a much older video though i just recently got a T7 and one day it wouldn't boot, I saw there is a pin in the battery compartment in Canons that the door hits, I grabbed tweezers and pushed the pin tothe position it would go into then closed the door and it turned on. What could’ve happen was the pin was banged out of place to where the door couldn’t push it in to position to let the camera know the door is closed.

(As a former technician) Nothing worse than working on a device only for rice to be stuck in places you couldn't even image. It doesn't help much, a drop of water deep in a circuit board (that still has power, i.e. charged cap, coin battery etc) will still corrode, and cause damage. Rice is fine to try to help while you're on your way to have a pro take it apart and properly dry, clean and repair. Haven't finished washing yet, and I know this is a couple years ago now, but I hope all was well in your case.

Of course you can hold the stabiliser steady as you attach the ND filter, but the great thing about the Nikon mirrorless cameras is that once you've attached the ND you can adjust your exposure and adjust the CP filter once again and see the change on the LCD or EVF.

Hi Paul, Dirk from Germany, I'm just starting out in DSLR photography and I enjoy your channel a lot! So sorry about the 80D - what was the repair shops's verdict, could it be salvaged? On the bright side, you managed to escape the more dangerous fauna down under. I have a question on photo editing: You exclusively use Adobe software it seems, which is quite understandable for a professional photographer. As a casual picture grabber, I find their plans for LIghtroom and Photoshop rather steep and have been looking into GIMP and Darktable. Do you have an opinion on open source alternatives to Adobe?
