BEST Fishing Knot for Fluoro to Braid

ALBERTO VS IMPROVED ALBRIGHT. Both are great fishing knots for fluoro to braid.Which one do y’all think is the better improvement to the Albright Knot?

I kinda like the fg know for heavy fluor leader. It is very streamlined. And it was powerfull enough for me to pull my boat towards a rock it was stuck to with quite some speed

I would really like to see these knots tested side by side in a controlled environment. They are both my go-to’s. Lots of tests compared Alberto to standard Albright but I haven’t seen it compared to the improved Albright. I’m sure there strength would be so similar as to make little difference, but I’d still like to see it.

Best thing on top of the knot size is just don’t use micro guide rods.

I like the Alberto and Albright knots. But a well tied FG knot is superior, me personally 🙌🏼

Maybe if your able to tie one! I have found this knot be the easiest that is the most streamline. If I could tie FG I would but again this is best for me.

@@davidharris4030 Find a video showing the FG being tied by making a triangle with the braid. It was a game changer for me. I can tie the FG really quickly this way.

@@davidharris4030salt strong channel has a good video on a technique where you wrap the braid around your right pinkie to create tension then just lay the mono/fluro across it and weave it back and forth. It took a few watches and about 5 practices and now it’s fairly easy for me to do.

Make sure line goes through the same side of the loop and your passes back to the loop go between your initial passes tied properly the line will basically always snap before it ever slips

In strenght FG knot beats everything. But I would believe improved albright is very durable. I have to re-tie FG sometimes after much use, because the lock knots get hurt.
