My dog LOVES these types of toys. She has an IQ treat ball, and the tumbler. She's a border collie mix about 40lbs. Super smart. Im thinking of getting the smaller one

My 40 lb Koolie really enjoys the smaller one :)

Got one of these for our puppy 12 years ago and he figured out in 2 feedings that he could grab the top, drag the bottom on the carpet, and it would come unscrewed and give him all the kibble at once 😂 Now we have a different puppy so we'll see how it goes! First feeding had some barking, and we have hard floors so kibble went everywhere, but he seemed like he was having fun!

@@mdeville5851 🤣🤣 I feel this!! I bought the small version because I can open it better. Sometimes my husband will close the big one and I can't get it back open! LOL

Awesome - put some smaller and some larger stuff as he gets better at it. You can also throw in a tennis ball as it gets easier for your . dog to up the challenge!

What about using pieces of cardboard taped to the inside to make the hole smaller and smaller to make it tougher and tougher?
@DoggyU2 жыл бұрын
That would work I think! Since this video was made, i do believe they have made the hole of the large one smaller which is nice!

what if the kibble size is big... i feed farmina dog food. will it come out of that small hole.
@DoggyU3 жыл бұрын
I don't have experience with Farmina - but I would just purchase one and if it doesn't work, amazon has some easy return sites now!

I have a 9 month old shih tzu. How do I know which size would work for him the best
@DoggyU4 жыл бұрын
A medium would probably be a good size. If he's got a shorter face, a small Toppl may be a better toy choice :0)
@xenia1713 жыл бұрын
I accidantally ordered the large size. Do you think it will be too big for my cavalier king charles spaniel (9kg)?
@DoggyU3 жыл бұрын
Hi Xenia - it will likely be hard for your pup to get to the bottom but you could also put just straight kibble in the bottom (like half) and then peanut butter on top so when your pup gets to the part he can't lick, it will just fall out. Or just return it and get the medium :)

How to attract it to a puppy? My 5 months malamute doesnt seem interested in it 😭
@DoggyU4 жыл бұрын
Hi Fay - try feeding him out of the open toy for a few days. Then smear peanut butter on the hole to attract him to it and that should help him learn to knock it over for the food. Try upping the value of the treats inside too! :)

How do we introduce this to an adult dog?
@DoggyU4 жыл бұрын
Hi Shreya - thanks for reaching out! With an older dog, I typically start with just unscrewing the toy and dumping the food in and letting them eat out of the open toy almost like a tipped over bowl. I then put the food in and I can put a little peanut butter near the whole. When they lick the toy, it will start to wobble. Usually they get the hang of it from there! But try feeding them their meals in the open top of it for a few days until they understand that this toy is where food comes from :)
