It trips me out how uneducated we are do to false doctrine. Thanks Ron. My wife & I started hitting the gym three weeks ago HARD! 4 to 5 days a week at least. I used to be a gym rat. I was 165lbs with less than 6%. We got married & she had our first child & things just went south. I used that phrase because we live in the south. Just existing here is a health risk. I don't even watch a lot of TV anymore do to the temptations alone. I'm now 300lbs & working my way back to a pure plant based life style. Just in the last 3 weeks since we started exercising & eating lean white meat farm fresh chicken, brown rice & lots of broccoli, I feel like I've lost 100lbs do to the toxins from unhealthy foods leaving my system. I have a long way to go. I'm excited to get there. God Bless

I totally agree with this statement ‘ I’d rather pay for good food now, than pay later in medical bills’ This is soo true! Also most a lot of healthy foods are pretty cheap like the vegetables, organic meats can be a bit pricey but worth it!

Sea salt lacks iodine -- this is true. It's not that it was removed, but it was never there to begin with. By contrast, iodine is naturally found in mined salt.

Love pork.. albeit I don't eat much bacon or sausage as I used to. Pork roast, ham, ribs... no way I'd ever stop enjoying those. Moderation is the key. Use olive oil and use peanut oil for frying. Enjoy real unsalted butter. Love all veggies. Lean meats. Although, a nicely marbled steak or lamb chops every now and then. Vitamin D milk. Fresh fruits.. Gala apples, Bosc pears, strawberries, peaches, etc goes into blended shakes. With creatine monohydrate and 100% Whey protein isolate.

I saw that you don't cook with oils but i recommend that you look into coconut oil, it has a high smoke point enough to cook vegetables in it, of course your gonna wanna cook them at low heat but the oil does not turn rancid and toxic. As you were talking about thyroid, coconut oil is the one of the top 5 foods for the thyroid health not only that but it has MANY countless benfits. Butter is also another healthy and misunderstood food, look into the works of Weston A Price just google "Why Butter Is Better Dr. Weston Price" just make sure thats it comes from pasture or grass fed cows the brand "Organic Valley" has a good product that is out in some selected stores ithink that store has it too, also look into Pink Himalayan Salt it has 84 minerals

5:16. No, they didn't take the iodine out of the salt. It has some iodine in it already (probably just trace mineral amounts like the other minerals it has in it too), but in the 1920's they started adding more iodine than it already has to the salt to help prevent goiter and they've been doing it ever since. There are plenty of foods that you can get iodine from as well as salt that has added iodine to it.

Back in the day people in mid america were having a huge problem with gout and hypothyroidism. The reason was because of iodine deficiency. People on the coast didn't have this problem because they were eating seafood which is high in iodine. So to combat this iodine was added to salt.

I love the video however, one thing I must correct and correct me if I am wrong. Sea Salt naturally has no iodine in it. Table salt has iodine because they add iodine in it. I use a product called "Celtic Sea Salt" on iherb.com (Naturally without iodine. It is a grey color so you know it is unprocessed and chalk full of minerals.) and supplement with a product called "Nascent Iodine" for my iodine. Again good video!
