Now that you have all been to Lake Louisa you just have to keep exploring the area 😀. Clermont is our favorite spot in the greater Orlando area because it gives us small town, lakeside vibes but still has so much to eat and do. We hope you have a great time when you go! Salt Shack is overpriced, nice location. I am a Clermont Resident. Clermont comes a long way, yet way to go. I know I will draw a lot of critique but when it comes to food , as a Californian, Florida still needs to go a way . However, Kudos to Clermont . Roasted spirits is awesome. I hope more Tampa style restaurants will make their way here. It's all just a matter of time, Chef here.

We just saw Grace O’Maliey’s last week! An authentic British pub is such a nice addition to downtown Clermont. We haven’t tried the food yet but we had a really nice beer and enjoyed the atmosphere. And agreed on the crab leg situation at Salt Shack! Thanks so much for watching!

This is great timing on this recommendation because we were just scoping out Smoke Made Meats and adding it to our list. We are huge fans of central texas style BBQ and then we heard that this place has lines out the door. We will 100 percent check it out-thank you for sharing! Another good BBQ spot is Bo’s Boys BBQ in winter garden. It’s essentially a pop-up BBQ spot on Saturdays and their food is excellent. Thanks for watching!

Clermont isn’t the same anymore. Used to go there in the 90’s back when it was all orange groves and small farms. Used to see nothing but trees. Now it’s all pavement. Massive highways with the same shopping centers you’d see anywhere in America. Hardly any ma and pop places around. The downtown is almost obsolete because people live far out and just go to Walmart and Applebees. Clermont is hardly the most beautiful city in central Florida 😅 with that being said, I appreciate your reviews and will still check out some of these places even tho I think Clermont has gone to shit

Hi! This is a really interesting perspective since you have been visiting Clermont for so long. We have lived in the central Florida for almost 20 years, but we have only been visiting Clermont for that last 10. But even in those 10 years we have seen HUGE changes to the area. There is always the good and bad with growth. We fully agree that the shopping centers have built up with the same old stores as anywhere else, and the orange groves and green fields are rapidly disappearing. That is sad to see. That being said, we have noticed that downtown clermont has gotten more popular and is far more visited that it used to be. We have seen a revival of the small downtown area as a community hang out and Clermont is a good example. Though we do find it too crowded at times, the downtown area has so much character, local charm, and a mixture of “mom & pop” shops and restaurants that make it worth the visit (definitely worth visiting over the Wal-Mart 😉). We truly appreciate you watching and if you go to any of these spots we hope you get a great meal and a good time to go with it. Thanks!

@@micalebgoeswest I’ll definitely have to check out the downtown area. I remember it wasn’t very hoppin last time I was there but looking at your video it seems it’s thriving more. Hopefully it becomes similar to what they did to downtown Sanford. When I was in high school, the downtown was all boarded up and no one went there. Now it’s totally revived.

Ha yes, you can see we are torn 😄. We absolutely LOVE Clermont and really enjoy all the new restaurants and activities that come with a growing city. But….sometimes we do miss the small town nature that seems to be going away a bit. But as long as it is attracting nice people then it’s all okay with us! Central Florida has gotten WAY too expensive. We’ve lived here for nearly 20 years and have watched the cost of living skyrocket, particularly for housing. If we hadn’t already locked in a home we wouldn’t be able to afford living here so we completely understand your point. It’s just getting so busy and expensive. Wishing you all the best

Oh we completely understand, and to be honest with you most of our Florida friends feel the same way. We have always loved this place but it’s getting too big and expensive for us, too. We understand it’s not a lot of consolation but know that many of us are having similar thoughts about the Orlando area.
