Can you share how you reheated the brisket ribs and sausage? Did you put water directly in the pan? Thanks

I’ve included the link to their brisket directions in case that helps. Happy eating! www.goldbelly.com/instructions/snows-bbq/texas-monthlys-1-bbq-brisket

My mom and i were walking around checking things out and came up the the chapel. It seemed pretty quiet, so we thought we would go inside and check it out. Immediately, we regretted it. We walked and every pew was full of people who all turned to look at us very sternly, we Immediately turned around to leave and quickly realized the door locked and so we had to walk all the way through this service or whatever these people were doing, just to get out. We had no idea that was going on inside. Lol lesson learned. Also, the looks we were given by all inside were insanely scary. Most churches welcome all, lol, not these people. Nooe, we couldn't get out fast enough.

I get so homesick and sometimes just Google pictures of Jackson. Everywhere you visited, I have memories of…Jackson donuts used to be busters where my granddaddy would take me. My best friend Zack and I would go to Lucy lu’s religiously when it opened a few years back! Easter egg hunts and field trips at Dauset trails, my aunt and uncles reception was there in 1999 and I had my baby shower there in 2024 😂 Jackson lake (thank you for not saying lake Jackson!!!) is where I spent literally every second of the summer! I could go on and on and on💛 loved every second of this!!

Such a shame that Mammy’s Cupboard just outside Natchez had to paint Mammy white , thanks to the white people who think they know what offends black folks. A shame to take credit away from the hard working race that did the cooking in the plantations and brought their rich heritage and culinary skills to the area. Typical, leave it to a bunch of entitled whites to erase the rich African American culture and try to take credit for it themselves.

In my opinion, but when you are in Helen, don't get food that is NOT German. If you want pizza, burgers, Chinese or Mexican food get that at home. Hansel and Gretel Candy Kitchen have great fudge that they make right there, it is expensive, but you are on vacation, spend some money - the fudge melts in your mouth. Excellent music all over, mostly from one man bands. If you want to eat breakfast at Hofer's, you will wait on a very long line, just go across the street at Alpine cafe and pizza (we didn't have pizza) for breakfast - no wait.
@micalebgoeswestАй бұрын
We fully agree on the German food in Helen-it’s so good! We don’t have many authentic German restaurants in central Florida where we live so we try to load up when we go to Helen. We like going out to the Great Salt Lake. We were just out there about 3 weeks ago. We also like going to Antelope Island and seeing the Buffalo heard. Holgle is pronounced hole gull. It is a really nice zoo. Next time you come to SLC you need to go to This is Place Heritage Park. Your daughter would really enjoy it. In the summer so much to for kids. Ruth’s Diner is a landmark but we found it to be overrated and way overpriced. It’s one of those places that people really love or not. We were not impressed at all. The biscuits were so salty we couldn’t eat them. The food just wasn’t good. Maybe we caught them in a bad day because our server was so cranky and she just started her shift. The people who worked there at the time we went were not friendly at all. We went in the morning. The parking is so crazy. It really is not handicap friendly or accessible. Also an Utah original is the dirty Dr. Pepper. A must try when in the state. They have them at every soda shop. I’m going to watch the other videos. I like watching videos of the places in Utah by tourists. Interesting to get their take on the area.

That’s unfortunate you had a poor experience at Ruth’s when you tried it. The service makes all the difference. We lucked out and had an incredibly friendly server who made us feel welcome. Plus, we are huge biscuit people and enjoy trying different variations all over the US. And good to know about the Dirty Dr. Pepper! Clermont isn’t the same anymore. Used to go there in the 90’s back when it was all orange groves and small farms. Used to see nothing but trees. Now it’s all pavement. Massive highways with the same shopping centers you’d see anywhere in America. Hardly any ma and pop places around. The downtown is almost obsolete because people live far out and just go to Walmart and Applebees. Clermont is hardly the most beautiful city in central Florida 😅 with that being said, I appreciate your reviews and will still check out some of these places even tho I think Clermont has gone to shit
@micalebgoeswestАй бұрын
Hi! This is a really interesting perspective since you have been visiting Clermont for so long. We have lived in the central Florida for almost 20 years, but we have only been visiting Clermont for that last 10. But even in those 10 years we have seen HUGE changes to the area. There is always the good and bad with growth. We fully agree that the shopping centers have built up with the same old stores as anywhere else, and the orange groves and green fields are rapidly disappearing. That is sad to see. That being said, we have noticed that downtown clermont has gotten more popular and is far more visited that it used to be. We have seen a revival of the small downtown area as a community hang out and Clermont is a good example. Though we do find it too crowded at times, the downtown area has so much character, local charm, and a mixture of “mom & pop” shops and restaurants that make it worth the visit (definitely worth visiting over the Wal-Mart 😉). We truly appreciate you watching and if you go to any of these spots we hope you get a great meal and a good time to go with it. Thanks!

Another question is there transportation within the hotel premises?
@micalebgoeswest2 ай бұрын
Yes, they had big golf carts that the hotel staff used to cart guests around. There were multiple labeled pick-up spots where you could wait to be picked up, or if an empty one passed by while you were walking they would stop for you. We never had any issues getting a ride when we needed one.

No beach umbrellas and chairs and towels?
@micalebgoeswest2 ай бұрын
Hi! The resort had chairs and towels included, including some with umbrellas, but most were at the pools. There weren’t many chairs on the beach when we were there but I think it was due to the high amounts of seaweed that had washed up prior to our stay. They were constantly raking up the seaweed with a bulldozer so that the beach looked nice. But they had a beach attendant with extra lounge chairs so I believe they would put a chair and umbrella down if a guest requested it. Hope that helps!
