Go out and play God Hand goddamnit. Yes it's challenging and the controls take some getting used to but when it finally clicks it's one of the most exciting games ever. I highly encourage you to watch some God Hand combo videos after this LP to see for yourself how crazy and deep this game is.

I won't shit on Woolie for being a coward on anything that's made by Platinum Games. This entire Lp is literally me the first time I experienced Godhand. Even on Normal, half the time I'm on Lv.1 for how just difficult the game easily spikes when you to Lv. DIE for being good even for just a second. But that didn't stopped me. I kept playing again every after completed saves. Woolie just needs to be Hyped in mental state and not being feeling unmotivated due to his first play through of this game and inability to pull of stylish combos. If they're willing to give this game a 2nd Gig, I'd welcome it. Although he only needed to put it on Normal if he wants the true experience.

So back in 2007-8, the little me played godhand, and as you expect from a kid, didnt finish it and thought it was a bad game. Back to the present time, i watched this lp and revisited the game, and holy shit godhand fighting system are complex and fun. Chain yanker -> yes man kablaam 2x -> pummel is godlike for building meters. Im at stage 3 on "normal" difficulty.

So interesting fact, Gene keeping the god hand in his brace causes it to be way more powerful then azel’s since it’s power is stored up rather then always out.

You would think that until Azel activates his own Devil arm during the last fight and starts dodging Genes activated God Hand in that form. Which means Azel is so strong that he doesn't need the Bracers to contain its power like Gene does and The god hands are actually equal in power and Azel is just a better base fighter then base Gene is which allows him to dodge attacks when he activates his own.

Explaining the ending: Azel was jealous and desired power, and Angra took advantage of that by possessing him. Keep in mind, that the 4 Devas were never really the main enemies of the game, it was always Azel/Angra. Defeating Azel at the tower allowed for Angra's resurrection. That's what Gene means by "Belza set me up.". The whole game is a ruse to get the Godhands to that tower to fight, so Azel could be defeated. Since Angra can posses people and influence them, that's what what Olivia means by "there might be another Azel one day". Also it is implied Olivia has a magic axe that can remove the God hands, which is why she's a physical threat to Gene.

I just started playing Absolver on the PS4 yesterday the similarities are almost astonishing. Watching Woolie line up combos in this game and setting his move list, I feel, has helped me in Absolver. I feel like such a badass when I set up long strings of moves that all lead into one another.

As someone who has just got past the warehouse carnival on hard completely plastered, easy is definitely the way to go if you just want to experience God Hand. While it's nice that harder and additional enemy encounters happen on the higher levels, the speed up in enemy animations requires either a minimum reaction time, an inbuilt quantum computer that can predict enemy ai, or enough luck to win twenty lotteries in a row.
