Comments accusing Danya’s opponent of cheating are perplexing. So, according to them, Black was stream sniping but somehow ignored what Danya was saying (the most obvious one was missing some defensive opportunities). Or was using an engine but apparently was ignoring the engine’s suggestions as well (say Qc7, and most notably Rfd8). Black played a good (but far from engine’s good) honest game. Kudos to him.

I've been going through a bit of a struggle in my chess learning, some days I just play very poorly and it feels like all my opponents are cheating even though it's probably just me playing every wrong move. But then I realized that it's probably because I am trying to play positions that I've done well in, even though that position is a bad position on the current board. Which got me thinking about the likelihood of someone being able to play the perfect move every single move... Studying chess at a high level seems to be a game about memorization; you learn your theory, and if your opponent goes off theory you try to prepare lines of attack that they might not have thought of... Which, if that is the meta, it makes sense that people would not be able to match a computer every time. Because they would only match the computer, potentially, on moves they've prepared, unless they have a wave of genius in the moment. As someone who enjoys singing as a hobby, however, I have heard people face-to-face who sound exactly like an auto-tuned voice. Like, they purposely make their voice mimic the warble, and they are very good at keeping their voice on pitch. As people start to learn how to do things along with machines, it is not only going to make the current metas easier, but it's eventually going to make some people strive to find a better meta... Which begs the question: Is it possible to watch back computer games, and try to understand why the moves are being made as opposed to memorizing the exact moves? For most people, probably not, because even seeing the final attack play out takes a deep understanding to figure out how we got there... But I am sure it's possible... Imagine someone who has a strong enough memory to memorize thousands of theories, instead devoting that time to memorizing situational advantages, which actually might be easier to name and memorize considering cases where transposing is possible... Really makes you think...
@Dakodi_ Жыл бұрын
This game is just filled with cheaters. Waste of time. Play chess IRL if you want to have a real experience.
@Alex9ten Жыл бұрын
You're probably experiencing the fact that your checkmating patterns become obvious at a certain rating. So those players learn how to counter it or avoid it all together. Sometimes you learn checkmates that only work if the enemy isn't aware of the checkmate so win streaks and loss streaks that bring you to roughly the same rating are inevitable until you learn more. As far as what you said about the computer, this is something that the top gm's do HEAVILY, study the computer. The issue is possibilities are limited due to the nature of chess, and the computer will always find a way to draw through repetition or other stalemates. As such, at the highest level of 2 humans, inorder to avoid a draw, they will always have to deviate from computer moves inorder to create an advantage or confuse the enemy into creating a longterm disadvantage. Watching top 5 players in tournaments will make this really obvious. Magnus Carlsen does it very impressively in the classical games of 1hr+ time restraint.
