00:00:02 Play Pawn A3 to initiate the Mangerini variation of the Sicilian Defense. 00:01:00 Sacrifice a pawn by pushing it forward to gain strategic advantages in the center. 00:01:23 Trade on D5 and play Knight to A3 to create a strong threat of Knight going to B5. 00:02:20 Utilize the pin along the a file to your advantage, forcing your opponent into difficult positions. 00:03:00 Consider sacrificing pieces strategically to exploit pins and create decisive threats. 00:04:07 Apply the same pinning tactic along the a file to maintain pressure on your opponent. 00:04:24 Employ dark magic by sacrificing pieces to set up powerful attacks and force your opponent into unfavorable positions. 00:05:00 Utilize the B5 square as a critical point in your attack strategy to create winning opportunities. 00:06:33 Ignore your opponent's standard moves and continue with aggressive tactics to maintain the upper hand. 00:07:00 Execute the Greek gift sacrifice (Bishop takes H7 followed by Knight G5) to launch a devastating attack on your opponent's king. 00:08:00 Utilize attacking patterns like the Greek gift sacrifice to create winning opportunities and force your opponent into difficult positions. 00:09:00 Maintain pressure on your opponent by sacrificing pieces strategically and exploiting tactical opportunities. 00:10:00 Continue the attack by threatening checkmate and creating multiple threats to overwhelm your opponent. 00:11:00 Capitalize on tactical opportunities and attacking patterns to secure a winning position and force your opponent into making mistakes. 00:12:00 Utilize aggressive tactics and attacking patterns to keep your opponent on the defensive and create winning opportunities. 00:13:00 Exploit tactical vulnerabilities in your opponent's position to launch decisive attacks and secure victory. 00:14:00 Maintain a relentless attack on your opponent's king by creating multiple threats and exploiting tactical weaknesses. 00:15:00 Continue the attack by threatening checkmate and forcing your opponent into difficult defensive positions. 00:16:00 Utilize tactical opportunities and attacking patterns to keep your opponent under pressure and secure a winning position. 00:17:10 Learn the main traps and attack patterns of the Mangarin variation against the Steel Defense. 00:17:19 Check out a video for an in-depth understanding and theory of this line. 00:17:26 Explore three Master Classes to become a strong attacking player. Subtle changes in move order can have huge effects. I like that in this version of the Wing Gambit, Black does not have the option of returning the pawn with ...b4-b3 to keep the a-file closed. And, as Igor emphasized, it's quite amazing how many natural moves do not work for Black.

I am often critical of these "crush your opponent with this opening" videos, as it usually ignores some rather obvious and perhaps common ways to avoid the worst outcomes, but I can truly see opponents making all the same mistakes in this one. It is definitely a variation I will be trying out in practice.

Give it a few weeks and Sicilian players will have it memorized as the Dumb Trap players spam it ad nauseum. I'm already seeing this line a fair bit. After this, I guess it'll be every other game 😪

It's funny. I checked the e6 game with the computer, and Nc7 is a fine move for black, but only if they immediadly follow it up with d5. Nc6 and castles is the mistake that allows the sac. d5 and castles, and black can go dxc! and then Qd3! to cover h7 square. Fun stuff. But honestly just play Ne7, or don't castle under the queen? I think e6 kinda just refutes the whole thing if black plays normal moves instead of Nc7. Maybe just bail out with Nc3 and argue that a3 isn't the worst move ever.

Thank you Igor!! Could you do more videos on the Blackmar Diemer? A lot of the opponents I play against don't take the pawn sacrifice after Qxf3, what other ideas are there if they don't go down that line?
@ศกรโสมาภา
@ศกรโสมาภา 7 ай бұрын
You’re forking the bishop on f5 and b2 pawn when you play Qxf3. Even if they don’t take the free pawn on c2 they don’t have many moves to play. Lets say they play the most popular move undeveloping the bishop back to home square you can long castle and push d5 opening the position. Worth noting is that if they play c6 after undeveloping their bishop you’ll have to take the f6 knight or the bishop will skewer your queen and rook. The position play themselves after you open it but if you want the full move then check out wgraif channel.

Tried this gambit in my first otb tournament yesterday. Result: 0 out of three. I was lucky to win all my black games with the trusted boring French opening. So I ended up at least scoring 3 out of 6 after losing all my white games against the Sicilian. My opponents just did not play the nice moves shown here. And I am not the tactic genius to find my way through this complicated opening once I am on my own. Never got the knight to b5, never got the pawn back, never got any tactical compensation, in one case against a 2050 player I even lost control over the center after having that huge bulwark there. My conclusion: this opening is just for tactical geniuses. Nothing for me. Just brings my rating down.

Anytime you play a new opening, you will play it badly because you don't have experience. Try it in a bunch of 5+5 or 10+15 games online to get the hang of it, and then you'll play it better achieving better results.
