Cyberpunk 2077, fallout 4, the just cause series, horizon zero dawn, there are a ton of AAA titles that run so well on the steam deck that steam downright says are unsupported.

Emulation is legal, but piracy is not. So it’s fine if you rip the game files from the cartridge or buy them online.

@jordirapper if you pirate older games, I see no issue with it, but if you're going to pirate anything that's new or you can actually buy, then you're cringe and should focus on increasing your income, goes triple for indie games

The Kingdom Rush tower defense games are fantastic on Steam deck. The combination of the thumb track pads and ability to assign shortcuts to all the abilities provides an experience with those games that can't be had with phone/tablet, controller, or keyboard/mouse.

Most jrpgs, i've put 100s of hours into persona and final fantasy games on the deck, even streaming ff rebirth from my ps5. Granblue Fantasy: Relink has also ran amazing on the deck

Cyberpunk is amazing on it. Guns gore and cannoli is really smooth on it. Fighting games like MK11 and injustice work great Uncharted a thieves collection works surprisingly well. Any of the old lego games like lego Batman 1 or Complete saga works very well

The original final fantasy 7. You can remaster it pretty easily. Theres a mod loader called 7thdeck designed to be as easy to install as possible. Takes one click and you have access to a bunch of mods, you can update the visuals with some of the mods and even rebalance the game with one of them. Hands down the best way to play ff7

Arkham origins is a pain in the ass unfortunately. After completing the penguins ship area, I tried to leave the ship only to there to be an infinite cutscene.

RDR2 at 30fps is hard to play though. Aiming is so sluggish, it is brutal. BUT having it on the go is impressive if you don't mind the frame rate.

When you say you can't get it to run, do you mean even launching? You need to run it with Proton Experimental for the launcher to run, and then you can start it from the launcher :) Let me know if that helps!

@@Dedman_Tech nope, still errors out with a "failed to compile shader error" I've even tried some other fixed that include making sure there is a valid save in steam cloud but no dice. never tried city or Knight
