I am not a deconditioned person. If you are, believe everything Mark tells you. He has a plan for you. He has the best program and equipment on the planet. I am following his other programs and have found the template, coaching and equipment that I have searched for since I was a teenager. I absolutely cannot give him a higher recommendation. Please don't worry and get started. The entire Wildman community is on your side.

I’m not a deconditioned person and I’m a follower of Mark Wildman’s training videos for a few years now which is why I am no longer a deconditioned person. I fully agree with @mattnelson8325.

@@j.p.retnugh3924 Thanks J.P. I appreciate your comment. If this program for the deconditioned does 1/10 for this demographic as it has for myself and obviously you, I can't wait to see the testimonials and impact on all the other facets of their lives to come. Especially, as you know, after a long layoff or perhaps never training, results, self-confidence, mobility and the return of a sense of "I can" happens quickly and profoundly. These folks have so much hidden and inherent real world strength and a strength of character which is the most important aspect. Beasts of the most kind and appreciative are about to come back to the world, making it a better place for all of us!

I am a deconditioned person extraodinaire. Not for long though, I have completed my first week of the IOT program. Mark's reasoning behind this program is spot on... I'm so stoked and happy to be part of the community. My goal, to be in better shape when I turn 60 (next March 2024) then I have been for a while.

@@mattnelson8325 Thanks, after 2 weeks tomorrow.. My neck feels awesome, today I sat in a squat position to pet the shop cat at work in the yard. I haven't been able to do that in a while. So thank you for your support. Appreciate it.

John's Hopkins University Research Hospital released a study in early 2020 found 56% of then 16 to 27 year olds ( so today's 19 to 30 year olds) were overweight or obese. 1 in 4 males were obese 1 in 3 females were obese. Remember this study was completed pre pandemic. One of the comments from the researchers said, the shear weight of the youth in America will collapse the heath care system with lifestyle illnesses. He went on to say, lifestyle illnesses are type 2 diabetes. Blood Pressue issues. Even sleep apnea he said for most people is curable simply through being a healthy weight

I really like the perspective about looks not being the goal. For me, the functionality goals are healthier and far more achievable. Just spent several hours walking 5 miles in 30+C temperatures and there was no way that I could have done that before I started working to get reconditioned. I am not at the point I can use an 8 kg bell yet, but I know what's going on my Christmas list this year.

I paused the flowchart and I’m really excited about the planned programs in the intermediate and advanced categories! Still also hoping that there will someday be a Level-2 Slamball program 🤞😊

I like the way you explain things in your videos and mention how one thing may work for you and not for someone else. The other peoples video's just say one for m just doesn't work ands don't do it and they don't say why, lack of knowledge on their part?

Great Video. Defiantly agree with the notion that the industry is too geared up for people who are already 'fit' / in shape etc. What about the people who aren't? where do they go to start etc. Well done you :)

I was in my local Walmart yesterday they had a 5-foot spinlock 3-piece solid barbell I think the end pieces are between 18 and 24 in, and might make a good substitute for a club for those who might not be able to afford the adex club at the moment I don't know how much the end pieces weigh by themselves, they could be a bit heavy Just thought I would mention it in case it might help someone

Mark, I have a 16kg bell and am strong enough to overhead press it. But I have found myself getting tendon pain in my forearms from swinging. Could this be helped by starting with a super lite weight (like an 4 kg bell) and just progressing very very slowly?
@mattnelson8325
@mattnelson8325 Жыл бұрын
I'm obviously not Mark but, here's an anecdotal response. The tendon pain is most assuredly coming from a growth spurt, not injury I hope. Starting lighter is certainly a great idea. A more thorough and comprehensive warm-up of that area, increasing blood flow and joint fluid may be better. Hold your KBs at your side and squeezing very hard, keep your arms straight and do twists in as full of a rotation as possible for 1min/rest1 and repeat once. Wrists and elbows ready. Arms overhead, no weight, fingers pointed skyward and arms straight as possible, 360 small circles clockwise/counterclockwise, feel the burn, 30sec each way, rest 1min and repeat once. Shoulders ready now. 8 min to pain free mobility. Yoga interspersed is also effective for every joint, including your serenity.

Are there any plans to do a combination program? I'm interested in doing a routine based your ABC schedule where A is Swing and C&P, B is Squats and TGUs, and C is club swinging.

Also, what is that wheeled case? I do a bit of travel where I set up for a month or two so I try to bring the gear necessary for important habits (cooking, exercise) with me wherever I go. That looks like a unit which could carry 32 Kg of Kettlebell & Club.

In other videos Mark talked about the cutting board. He was using a thin cutting board like the plastic sheet cutting boards. He referenced how he would put it in the back of his backpack to provide some rigidity to the pack.

Winding that nut off seems laborious. Better with spring loaded ring clamp. 2 second change. I've been trying to sell my kettlebells collection to buy an adjustable but after lockdown with gyms open again it's pretty hard. At least I have a very good collection though

where does the 200 millions people number come from?
@oastorga
@oastorga Жыл бұрын
A google search reveals the following: Based on data collected between 2017 and 2020, 41.9% of adults in the U.S. have obesity[12]. The same data set suggests 19.7% of adolescents and children in the U.S.-14.7 million individuals- have obesity. Although some obese individuals may not be de-conditioned, the numbers probably approximate that 200 million just in the US. I'm 66 and most of my contemporaries (within 10 years) that I know can't do mos of the program outlined here. So while the number could vary, it's quite large. Even if we were generous and assumed that of the 14,7 million obese adolescent and children, 50% are conditioned and do the same with adults, it becomes an overwhelming number.
