Liked ✔️ Commented ✔️ Subscribed ✔️ I just got the Garmin R10. I use it on the driving range now, but I am planning on setting up a simple and inexpensive indoor hitting range/sim. The SPG7 has been recommended more than once, especially on a few facebook R10 groups. Thanks for the quick and helpful video! And to top it off a lefty KZbin golfer! #leftylove

Great video! I'm considering this net to use with a Skytrack as well. My only concern is that I'm a bad golfer and I really don't want to put holes in my garage lol. Does the Skytrack allow you to get close enough where it is hard to miss the net, or should I be considering the spg-8 instead?
@GolfQuestChannel
@GolfQuestChannel Жыл бұрын
Skytrak let’s you get as close as you want. You just can’t get so close that your club hits your net on the follow through. I think you’re safe but the spg8 just gives you some more room which isn’t a bad option if you have the space. Thanks for checking out the video and for the comment. 👍🏻

I do but I have hit the "hood" with the 60 degree and it comes back at you a bit... keeps you on your toes lol. But the rest I have no problem with. But my mat edge is basically touched the base of the Spornia net. Works well for me. @@Penly11

You're welcome. Glad it was helpful. The mat is crucial. My main advice is do not go cheap. It will save you in the long run. Can you set this net up without putting up the hood? I'm considering the SPG-8 and since my ceiling is only 8 1/2 high, the hood would be too tall. I guess I could go with the SPG-7 with the hood but I like the width of the SPG-8. Also, how far are you hitting from the back of the net? I see with your 56*, the ball is only going a few inches above the top of the bullseye. Based on the SPG-7 being 7 ft deep, I'd guess you're 8ft back?

How far do you need to be from the net to hit balls
@GolfQuestChannel

How tall is it with the roof on. Will it fit in a room with 9’ ceilings? Do you ever wish you had the larger 8’ net? Maybe for hitting wedges, etc. I am setting up in. The house and want to minimize my maximum regret…no holes in the walls or ceiling.
@GolfQuestChannel
@GolfQuestChannel Жыл бұрын
I'm not around my net right now but I can get the exact measurement a bit later. Having said that, 9 foot ceilings will be enough. I have never wanted the bigger net because I can't really afford to give up more width in my garage. If I had the space though, I would think bigger would be better. I have never missed the top of the net, but I have hit the roof and it comes back at you quickly when you hit the roof - like an old fashioned game of dodgeball lol. Thanks for checking out the channel. Appreciated.

How much room do you need behind it? Wondering how closer to garage door I can safely place it. Thanks
@GolfQuestChannel
@GolfQuestChannel 2 жыл бұрын
The net leans forward a bit from the edge of its base so I suspect you could get the base really close to the garage door without a problem (maybe even touching). I leave more space as I need a walkway behind mine. You definitely would not need more than a foot buffer but you may not even need that. I just have never tried to put it right against a wall.

So the front base of the net is almost touching the front edge of my fiberbuilt mat (1/2 an inch). From where I typically place my ball for iron shots to the actual impact screen (which is more towards the back of the net) is around 78 inches. HOW LONG DOES THE NET LAST! THE BEST GOLF NET IS THE ONE THAT LASTS THE LONGEST!! ALL ARE GREAT RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX BUT WILL IT STAND UP TO 1,000 shots, 10,000 shots, 100,000 SHOTS? No one ever evaluates the performance of the net in terms of longevity, which ultimately determines the value!
@GolfQuestChannel
@GolfQuestChannel Жыл бұрын
I agree that how durable it is helps determine which net is best. However, I would disagree that all are great right out of the box. Also, the number of shots it will stand up to will also depend on who is hitting the shots.
