The straps on the top will not let you close the visor tight. That is why customers in the USA might not prefer this mount. I ride between 70 to 150 mph speeds where this is not useable.

this will work fine for the climate in India, a bit of the windshield open on a German Autobahn in spring / autumn / early winter with speed 200 or above, I like my windshield to snugly close.

This mount is great if you live in an area with no rain and warm temps year round. If not it's worthless because the visor doesn't close all the way. You state it does, but that's not possible with not one but 2 straps on each side going through the helmet.

It closed with my helmet AGV GT Veloce, coursa or Pista GP. I rode in the Himalayas with this and it was cold for a guy like me who has never seen snow. It managed fine.

My biggest concern is that it leaves the gap when the visor is down and doesn't fully close it.. Right? Say u ride fast, there will be lot of wind noise and in rain, it would let all the splashes inside helmet, right?

Wish you talked about the visor closing. Even if it closes, I don't think it will seal against the gasket and can even damage the gasket. This in turn can cause unpleasant wind noise with some helmets at high speeds.

No such issues are 3 years of usage, this helmet visor closes just fine, no issues with wind noise as well.

There is no way that the visor will seal with these straps on. This is a problem for higher-speed (70 mph and up) Highway use, and especially if it rains.

I bought a 3D printed GoPro mount for my Shoei RF1200 and it fits perfectly on the middle of the chin without interfering in the venting. Best clean mounting option there is. No other mount compares. Check it out.

Dude your reviews are great : For this one I think it is almost perfect but one problem I see that it pulls up the chin curtain and that is thing to worry about since that helps in some noise cancellation & avoid any small particles from entering into your helmet.

No the visor does not close completely. However I am finding this a plus, it is winter in NZ and the helmet fogs, if I set the visor to the first opening, too much wind, with the Sopro it is "mostly" closed - still air flow and obviously more than when closed, but in my case just enough to clear the fog. Besides, great mount, when you take it off there in no detritus hanging off the side of your helmet and I find it easy to adjust and use. AA++ from this rider.

I did watch the entire video and all I see is the ground and your friend's taillights. Also, with the straps, it will be impossible to close the visor all the way. Not useful for those of us that ride in cold temperatures.

Most visors won't close but my AGV closed because it's closing bolt is in the centre and I have ridden in Himalaya with it.

Its good Da, But I did something way secure and cool. I have a Vega offroad Helmet, and I did a PVC weld on the snout, the chin part, I took it to a PVC welder, who fixes motorcycle fairings, Got a flat mount sized 4mm pvc plate welded on the snout & attached the flat mount with 3m tape on it, Its my primary MotoVlog helmet. Its very strong setup and its actually not much visible, as the weld is not visible to the naked eye. Costs very less as well. I made a vlog on that as well, you can see in my channel. But this is also cool. Nice one Da.

+Apache Indian you are not supposed to modify your helmet in any way as it reduces the structural integrity of the shell, it's a safety thing. These are some small things to keep in mind, maybe the welder did a good job, but I would never put any stress on the shell of my helmet.

I suppose it does, as long as you put it on a solid part. The chin should stay solid so I guess it'll work. But I wouldn't recommend these mounts. Your chin flap will be pushed in and you can't even close your visor

Petsr Fun maybe you can't close your helmet lid but mine closes fine and a few other helmets I tried with also didn't have any issues, maybe before asking me to grow balls you should grow some brains and see that whatever the negatives i faced with the mount is already mentioned in the video. Like I said, I rode with this on Himalayas if I could not close the lid those cold temperatures would have been very difficult.

Petsr Fun hey buddy, keeping abuses apart, i agree with the fact that even a slightest crack in the visor can be a discomfort in European weathers especially in winters. But here in India its not that of a bother, especially in the parts where i live. So definitely i am looking forward to maybe be buy this product after watching this video even at the compromise of a probable slight gap. If u feel u have a better option to suggest for helmets like mine which does not allow the conventional adhesive types chin mounts, then please feel free to do so.... Regards.
