Show Notes:
Gut Health Superfood = Fiber
Why?
Intestinal Transit Time
a. Foods to avoid: 'lingering foods'
Make it harder for stool microbes to leave the system
b. Bad microbes stay too long (12+ hours) and cause problems
c. Consider eating high fiber (daily goal of 40-50 grams)
d. Consider taking a stool softener
e. Aim for 2-4 bowel movements daily.
f. Drink plenty of water

Thank you! I wish that more doctors talked about the importance of food when it comes to the progression of MS and other chronic illnesses. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the end of 2020 at 27yrs old, and I was so lucky that my ER doctors stressed to me how important it is to have a healthy diet. Changing my diet has done so much for my health. It's not easy to stop eating foods you love, but your brain and future are so much more important than the taste of your favorite food that only lasts a few moments.

The first thing i did when i was diagnosed with MS was to ask if i had to follow a diet, to what the doctor responded that there is no evidence of a diet making a real difference, but she suggested Dr Terry Wahls anti inflammatory diet, which i follow since its good advice even for healthy people and helped me loose weight and feel a lot less tired. The second thing i did was to get medication... i don't think you should be telling people that have so much to loose to just follow a diet like it will magically cure them. That said, i belive following an anti inflammatory diet is key, just don´t make it into a solution, people still need medication.

Then are the secondary metabolites the ones responsible for ibs? I have a refractory celiac disease type 1 and with a ketogenic diet rich with fibers ( blueberries, strawberries, avocado) I am managing my symptoms. Since I also have a neurodegenerative disease which in somehow overlap the symptom of Ms, I would happy to know something more about vitamin b12 deficiency. I hope that I can hear from you doc.

@@ifollowjesus1667 I been on a wallhls protocol diet for years; it only works so much. The medication is quite toxic to the body, and obviously mine is reacting to it. Not sure what else to say, I exercise, I don’t eat sugar, I’m quite chilled. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink. I’m also injecting B1, B6, B12 and I pay for other therapies like acupuncture and oxygen therapy. It only works so far. The condition is a bitter shit thing, just have to bare it

@__Wanderer

@@TisEYEthe1 Well I have since found that fasting is indeed quite good for the gut health. My other comment relation to MS & fasting will sadly require some more time and studies :) Not even sure there will be one on this topic though since MS research still has a long way to go on even the basics from what I have read. Going well though :) Hope you are doing well also!

I went fasting under control/ having Checks every week/ for 12 weeks/. 6 weeks , 2 months break and then another 6 weeks! I have never felt better ! All my symptoms are gone. I cleansed my liver , guts etc .., fasting only with specific low carb vegetables and some fruits ( apple and berries only allowed) .. it’s about 600 kcal a day and you don’t feel hungry at all. Fully recommend! Go for it

It is misleading. You have to pay for a Discovery session where they decide whether you are a good fit. Apparently at / after this Discovery session you have access to 'free' material.

People are reversing MS on the carnivore diet. You are missing something here.

@@koko_7 A lot of anecdotal evidence on you tube. Do a search for carnivore and MS. Some of the videos refer to studies. Look for the cabana chronicles page, a former vegan reversed her MS on the carnivore diet. Pay attention to the comments section.

That is such an irresponsible comment. Where are they now? I literally turned into a vegetable in 2011. I couldn’t walk, talk, feed myself, bathe myself, lost my vision… after intense medicinal intervention with steroids and plasma exchanges, I lived in a rehabilitation until I was good enough to be an out patient. 2013 completely changed my diet to vegan, started exercising and cut all the crappy ppl in my life. I became a nationally qualified bikini competitor. I’m now a software developer. You wouldn’t put dirty, reused oil in your vehicle would you? 💡 😉

@@BrinleyBlogette This is an utterly ridiculous and cult like comment and you ought to be ashamed. I am happy you are doing better but there is solid research showing meat based ketogenic diets reversing both autoimmune AND neurological disorders. Just because one thing worked for you it doesn't mean something different doesn't work for others. You might want to check out the Cabana Chronicles BTW. This woman reversed her chronic MS on the carnivore diet. She is a FORMER vegan .
