So cool to hear you guys talk abt the controller!!! Two things to kinda answer, it does work with any case and you can get a MagSafe case for any android on Amazon, and I 10000% agree I hate how thick it is! but as V1 I think it was a good move to make it a fully featured controller with good ergonomics. We will 100% be making a slim and an ultra ultra ultra thin version. As soon as this is out I will be working on the thin version I can’t wait😂. Anyway, again thanks guys this is so cool!

@@eternalprogression I really want to get a foldable as my next phone for both reading manga and DS/3DS emulation. Have you tested the mcon with foldables? Particular OnePlus Open and Galaxy Z Fold 5/6, as those are currently the device I am looking at. I'm generally keen on the Pixel line, but I hear the tensor 4 is not nearly as powerful as the processors on the previously mentioned devices (possible exception being the fold 5).

Look into some sliders like the 3ds, retroid pocket flip (these click for l3 r3) or if you want ro go even smaller, psp style.

I really enjoyed the RG Cube but I ended up selling it. I considered the RP mini but the screen size seemed too small to enjoy ps2/gc. I wanted the RP5 but I wish it had the left joystick up top. I asked for the 35xxsp for Christmas.

I never used the stock firmware on the 40xxV, went straight to MuOS on Day 1 so never experienced the problems with the sticks and as a result, I think the V is one of my favourite of the year, just behind the Brick (RP5 on the way in the mail). The stick makes playing N64 games so good!!! Mario Kart 64 is great on it. The larger screen vs the Miyoo Mini is welcome, the D-Pad and buttons have a nice feel to them. The size and triggers and comfortable to hold. It's a win for me.

Last week I left some disparaging observations about DJ Windex. This week, in the spirit of Christmas, I'd like offer a retraction. My fault for commenting after too many holiday Schnapps. The sheen left by DJW is unmatched in the Retro Handheld space. Freestyle - 🎶Boom chic boom chi boom boom.. "I'm DJ Windex and I'm here to say I'm the cleanest guy in the USA. I've got a big retro collection and I play a lot of things, like a Tiger R-Zone if you have one."

I know it is recent but the rp5 for me is definitely my favorite of the year. I have the sickness and I've purchased way too many handhelds this year. It's by far my favorite. My biggest flop is the Ayaneo pocket micro. The more I use it the more little things I find that I don't like about it and little bugs that just pile up to make it not that great in my opinion. They basically made it all pretty and premium looking on the outside but once you actually start using and digging in it's far from premium

Oh absolutely this, they put a lot of love into it, and that shows. Yeah the Micro also didn't vibe with me in the end fron its screen size for text, and sharper corners.

For HOTY voting, can Ban make next year’s google form in a way that allows me to skip questions? I never touched a X86 handheld but was forced to vote in that category to have my input for Android & Linux devices. Probably skewed the voting a lot with people just voting for whatever was popular in the community in categories they had never played.
