I like the take of the war of the worlds and where the game left off with humanity pushing back the aliens from earth, would be good for a game to go on and allow the space expansion and return attacks from humanity vs the aliens, but all in all a very good story.

Witnessing the Death of probably Billions by an Enemy who doesnt follows any rules and even eats defenseless children.... that would absolutely cause heavy emotional damage and a boiling Rage. Totally understandable. Basically said, the human species is an omnivorous, Pack-Predator Species. Cornered, with no option to escape, survival instinct will kick in, which will probably disable rationality.

There will always be the Oskar Schindlers (to use an extreme example) who buck our basest, cruelest instincts and work against them. I'd rather see a story about the Queen Helens than about how we're yet again committing unfathomable horrors without question or pause.

*Ares* And both were treated wrong! Coca leaves have incredible properties on their own. Cocaine is small doses can help the dying survive long enough to reach medical help. Yet, because of some idiots who use it for recreation, it is tarnished as medicine! Human blood unfiltered , is a lethal cocktail all on its own. There are enough toxins in it to kill a bull. Its why we have kidneys. They filter the toxins out, before they can harm us. Mind we have a partial immunity to them. A xeno species drinking unfiltered human blood straight form the source? I'm surprised they did not die on the spot. Maybe their blood flow is slower than in humans , that could account for the lag. The high is easy to explain. Oxygen! If it gets us high, a species who need less would hit orbit!

only thing i didn't like in the story, which is nickpicking from someone who knows about star radioactiveness, is that our sun is very calm for a yellow dwarf, and orange dwarf are waaay more radioactive and active than a satandard yellow dwarf and red dwarf are often called flare star because of how active they are and how often they emit solar flare, they are the most radioactive dwarf star we have, other than that it was a very good story, like i said it just itch my side because i know of the technicality of stars but i'm not expert

@@FrenchLightningJohn If i recall correctly, red dwarfs are more active, but yellow stars are more 'powerful'. The reason red dwarfs are seen as maybe not great for life is because of their heat. Their habitable worlds would have to be far closer to red sun to have water. A planet at the same distance to its red dwarf, as earth is to sol, would experience far less radiation. The unbelievable parts are.. A. That they could live on a planet 1 au from a red dwarf. B. That they had the technology to remove entire solar systems worth of mass from a star, and that they would do that in order to access the resources of a few planets more easily. C. That we fought off a species capable of reshaping the star.. It was a fun story anyways, though..

Best they could do is forward the council meeting to them. If asked "how do we know it wasn't faked", it would be easy to divulge that this was a galactic wide live stream for even citizens of every race, hence why the younglings protection act was enacted. Because we don't condone, want to ever see, or experience that, let alone let our younglings see those horrors. That type of wording, honesty, and alibi, we'd probably be able to acknowledge and work from there with relations. I'd like to think that even when enraged, we'd know to harm those that deserve it. Especially with intelligence agencies. Never underestimate the human intelligence agencies ability to gather information.

I am trying to write a novel, and that line is beautiful and dark and thunderous. Death itself would take up his scythe at the blood spilled not in the name of a human war, but of an alien being craving it. One ship among them would be the USS Reaper, with a great scythe armed with missile launchers and a mighty rail gun running through the beast of a ship. A planet cracker, one to reap the souls of those who share the blood of those who wronged Death's own world.

say not the uss , it be the .....u.n reapers.. and it not be a single ship but be a very limited numbers but highly respected class of ships from the first days of truely countering the invasion as the way it be staffed at first and the origins of its materials would ever more be a deep part of how they be deployed both in ther birth years and later when each planet grown industrial enough to support assets on ther own..maby not gaia as the defilement of the wild garden might have sparked some deep veneration for how its wilderness gave the humans as chance to hide and fight back... but well , if it entertain i can share what hues this concept of ''reaper destroyers'' that reflects of my thoughts in contrast to this story hmm... it be ships that stay in the U.n fleet being updated for generations after all since in ther birth some stations being manned by the last surviving fragments of whole cultures as tragic as ther lose would be , humans seeing it like the only way for them to defy a renewed invasion.... it be something that later new crew honour as no matter what bickering ther governments might have... marsians , plutonians , jupiternans , gaians... when joining any of the original reaper ships... they be very conscious of ther history , just as the later shiny far larger pure human engineered dreadnought cousins carrying the same name for ther shared development of carrying 'tactical weaponry' also give honour them when ever passing by in orbital dry dock in the name of how some died to ensure they got forged swiftly in the wake of those first months of once more 'owning' ther mother worlds skies... , how others watched ther entire culture being engulfed by the creeping mists of history as them lingering on earth/gaia to breath it into a new generation... be pointless if the ships ment to scare of a new invasion of those eating sentient ones not where staffed... and with all human industries at best in a ''patched up with pieces of other hardware or alien one'' or flat out re-purpused patched up only partly functioning hulks captured from the invasion fleet.... the first reapers would have ther bones forged by human materials ,but so much of them be purged salvaged alien tech... where the greater expertise of the aliens be part of why they be built as planet crackers... reapers... at least it be a quick death.. and these first 'icon carriers' being forged to awaken over looking the still scared smouldering body of ther smiths mother.. not to mention surrounded in the drifting fields of corpses sharing those first ones orbit from where the humans only option to remove the constant threat of orbital bombardment hade been to capture or make ad-hoc one way trip transports that die in droves to the invaders hard points on approach.. and leverage numbers and ferocity in boarding to render ther ship weaponry null or just maby if lucky capturing a few... at first the iconografy these ships be recognised by at a glance would just be crews and engineers unable to sleep unless in pure exhaustion ..to sleep deep enough that they not recall ther dreams of... the screams of loved ones.... treasured children... being eaten alive... what started as just left over scraps used as art forged to the soothing purrs of the beast promising to leet all aboard drink to ther bleeding hearts content to drown out the screams of ther lost adapted missiles.. where old cold war icbm shells of the bickering despotic super nations for once stood side by side... merged with alien drives... warheads infused with exotic materials bairly understood yet... and above all...not to hinder the dreadful embodiment of the beast of war and its endless rage.. the megalithic sized rail gun going down the spine of the destroyers and run slightly over half the length of the ships.. even as they be kilometers the hathces.. or as the crew nickname them.. the jaws of its maw and being perhaps the only exposed point of it buried under all the weaken its purpose time and resources turned makeshift deception in the effort to delay minds from shattering in grief... into something ,some aliens say.... is alive.. fenrir.. the god slayer wronged by the hands of some yet respected by others as aramgedon dawned his chains broke at last.. hungering his maw ever ready to end all gods found lacking.... his son and daughter only halting ther chase of the moon and sun to call forth ther broods in ther fathers name... to run by his side and feast upon gods ended by his maw.... that they grow strong more worthy of that rich blood... sekhmet & bastet the ever entwined sisters of ferocity , slaughter... protection and healing.. ever seeking to shield those respecting math yet if enraged unleashing a fury and blood thirst no other gods could stand agenst... offering equal guidance to walk safe through the night in graceful guile... as to descend in savage brutality upon all that defiled the sanctity of home and hearth of another's den.. to mention two of the 5 first ...beasts of war... suffering the pains of being forged with parts of ther foes own flesh just to stand ready for ther return no matter what and ensure that if the garden world not could be shielded... then the worlds of its murderers would share its fate... but it became a return that not came until much later... and woe on any that suggest the ships be striped of ther icons... as..perhaps the ships themselfs carries ther reaper and beasts of war symbology with pride in the name of those that will die aboard them knowing that while they ensured ther values and species will survive.... ther culture will become but history... and such delicious karma it be as any galatic council member approaching quickly learns those in a ship of the blood addicts make have a first person experience that while the humans might be noble savages.... in many ways they are savages even as they fight to ensure ther children not ends up in the clutches of despotism hiding behind the veil of survival just as ferociously as they fight to survive.. the beast in ther hearts is awake... and the blood addicts did far worse then slaughter those holding its chain.. chains that it taken centuries to learn how to hold so that the beast be at peace... ....chains that still drips in the oceans of blood and tormented cries of those wronged its deep heart beasts resonating through them for all stained by the waves of that ocean to feel and drink freely from to drown out the echo's of ther loved ones suffering ...even a predator after all kills its food before eating it.. and the beast will not easily go back to slumber once awoken to such a vast sea of rage.. 'rage of countless restless spirits crying in the beast of wars ears to lend its rage for ther kin to end the monsters' the only thing worthy for unleashing a planet cracker weapon... one might say if being poetic for a 'moment' ;) galatic council , as not one armada but ever more ones slips anchor.... the tide of the ocean of blood leet forth so long ago now turns to bath the shores of its origins... and while the pure human dreadnaoughts is a terror to behold having the endurance to withstand several battle ships or multiple tactical strikes and still shatter moons or flay all around them... the visage of a scared but victorious fleet parting way.... for the reaper's... for the beasts of war.... to know ther civilian satelites only was spared so all ther other worlds could behold the beasts of war that been unleashed open ther maws and end whole worlds....

If your base is about to be overrun you pull any possible assets back and consolidate IF the enemy is that close, has gotten through radar screening, advance warning, and surface-to-air defense, you don't have time to arm planes, you just bug out.
