I hiked around there last year (2017, now that it's 2018). Nice views. I saw the walkway from the distance. We had snow when we went over the pass. :-). Nice place to go back to with a drone.

Keren Leah Code some proper hiking boots, that cover your ankle should do the trick. greatly reduces sprains :)

Hi Karen Leah Code. Cat's right about good boots. I also recommend lightweight hiking poles - they'll take the pressure off your ankles and help dramatically with downhill.
