Excellent video. Takes me right out there with you. Years ago I started up that creek from the visitors center with a friend. I dropped out at the first (last) water fall. He missed the exit and was wandering up the creek all day. The rangers had tried to find him, at 6 p.m. they were prepared to go into the creek to find him. He came out almost into Torrey and was trying to hitch hike back to the visitors center when I found him on the road.

I love how you are thinking out loud. I have similar conversations with myself when I hike alone

I like your video. A hiking video. Not a 'music video'.

The trail is well marked? We are planning to go to Capitol Reef next month

The trail head is well marked but after a while of hiking I did wonder if I was on the right path because I didn't see any other signs posted until I reached the water (1.8 miles). It's always useful to have a hiking trail app on your phone.

love this, might want to try it. But how did you get back to your car?

A friend dropped me off. Some people try to catch a ride from the visitor center but that might be a bit more difficult right now because of Covid19

Do we need to know swim?? I am 5 1 person and I don't know how to swim😪😪😪

@@karlacoleman8066 When you get there I'd recommend you go to the bridge by the visitor center to get an idea of the water level. And you might want to talk to someone at the visitor center about the risks. There are some water pools on the hike and I don't know how deep they are. But I am not going to answer your question out of liability reasons. However I can tell you that I have seen families with kids on this trail.

i'm only 5ft. can I jump down like you did or too risk? How safe is to walk along the rocky narrow rocks?

I am 6' 3" and it was a little challenging at times. But then again parents do this hike with their kids. For people with fear of heights it is probably challenging. The surfaces in and outside the water seemed pretty safe to me. I am sure you can do it!
