Thanks for the laughs and many many thanks for reminding to an old guy the fundamentals of off road and learning to the beginners how to save the precious bike and break something. That was nicely and clearly explained.

Dammit. Watched this after dropping my 701 too many times on a wet Welsh TETTY. When you break it down, it is obvious and simple physics. But I didn't. But you did. I'm going to commit that technique to memory. Thanks. And like a lot of others, I'll say your enthusiasm, humour and knowledge is really impressive and doubly so in what is a foreign language to you. Obrigado and anyone, do the Portuguese ACT and TET. Portugal is a beautiful country, dirt bike friendly and excellent value with plenty of accommodation so don't bother camping.

Thanks for watching and for saying such nice things! Its awesome to get this kind of feedback! And congratulations on yout bike choice...it would probably be my pick if I was ready to leave my XT660R :D

@@OFFroadOFFcourse I'll be back in Portugal soon enough. You're welcome to try my battered 2016 701 with a Nomad fairing. It's a great lightweight adventure bike. I'm off to the Pyrenees ACT and TET next week. I loved Portugal, I've surfed there and ridden the ACT and TET. You live in a beautiful country.

I knew this technique since long ago and used plenty of times. It is epic indeed as make very easy to get out of very complicated situations. I watched all the video thought and picked few hints in how to make it even better for myself. You have certainly helped a lot of people with this 🙂👍🏻

Hey man, thanks for the words (and for subbing ^^) I love fortnine... I think I am (or try to be) a mix between Fortning and C90adventures :P The XT660 is a great bike, and an awesome "bang for the buck" deal. Are you planning to do a lot of off-road?
@GunBiker072 жыл бұрын
@@OFFroadOFFcourse Hi there. Since I am from the Czech Republic there are not many true off-road options unless you want to "donate" your money to a local police office 😁 I won't get more then dirtroads or some temporary highway/depot construction sites here 😐 First year or so, I want to get some confidence and some paid off-road courses. If everything goes allright and I won't wreck myself so my wife won't put me against a "sell or divorce" choice I think I'll be eager to cut of some weight from the XT (2v1 exhaust system etc). Then I will try to steal some weekend once in a while to ride abroad for some Poland TET as I live very close to the borders.

@@GunBiker07 sounds like a plan, man! Lets hope you dont get to that "Sell or divorse" situation! Ahhaha, loved it! XD Its a shame you guys cant ride offroad there in Czech Republic :(

@@OFFroadOFFcourse Well...I haven't said I won't break the law sometimes to get some muddy fun 🙃 BTW as you are an XT owner can you tell me wheter it does matter what XT generation I pick ? For example in the matter of that 2v1 exhaust system or other aftermarket parts. Are there any differences?

@@GunBiker07 i am not 100% sure, but i dont think there are any differences between them. Only "bold new graphics" :p

Some great information! What's your advice if you're in the same situation on single track? I tend to do the same process with the bike on its side and swear about my life choices and why I'm riding an adv bike.
@OFFroadOFFcourse2 жыл бұрын
Well, to a degree you can still apply this tecnhique, or some principles of it, since it takes the least amount of room to turn a bike around. Probably you have to use the clutch to back the bike into the bushes a little (rear wheel into the bushes) and then use the tecnhique to get the front wheel where you need it to be (pointing down). But each situation/trail/bike will require different solutions :o
