Building with Hanson right now, they offered a $30k lender incentive if you use a preferred lender ie Huntington or Old National. Very good design process, not always the best options (like HVAC) and customizations can be very expensive but so far I’m happy

Nice! The lender incentives builders can offer is awesome! I suspect we'll see less of that when rates come down.

I'm going to ask this question as your KZbin says best in Minnesota? Any recommendations for builders that would travel to the Alexandria area that you feel are a Quality builder but also an affordable builder who stands behind their work? Thx~

Unfortunately I don't work up in Alexandria so I'm not much help on that one. Benzinger and Christian Builders are two I would call, as both of their headquarters is on the NW side of the metro. However I doubt either of them go that far. Both are GREAT quality!

Ya know, I really don't know too much about Creative somehow! They aren't a small builder, but I just haven't seem to cross paths with them myself too much over the years. Sorry!

We built with Wensmann and then they disappeared. I’ve been terrified to build new again. But I know we are so picky that buying from pre-existing will be tougher. But it’s disappointing walking into these new million dollar homes and seeing them constructed so poorly.

That's a bummer! I haven't heard of that builder. I will agree though that sometimes what you think you'd get for $1m+ can be underwhelming - definitely. Which side of the Twin Cities are you? That can make a big difference.
