So, crazy. This morning, I tried some prepackaged chorizo that I bought at the store. So bland, no flavor. All day today, I was thinking about how my Mom would make homemade chorizo from scratch. Her orange stained hands, the aroma of the spices and vinegar. Thank you Rachel for sharing. I always get tears in my eyes and reminded about my Mom when I see you cook . Very similar style. Miss Rachel you need to be on the food network. My family are italian immigrants. They learned to make italian American dishes. The ingredients were not available like in Italy. Very similar to tex mex cuisine. It seems lately if it's not pure Mexican or pure italian food it's second rated. Those meals made from simple ingredients kept our family fed. Along with beans and rice. We ate minestrone and our friends ate caldo and posole. Funny how connected we all are.
