Thank you so much for your videos! Truly enjoyed them. We are visiting Hanoi in February - just want to see if you have any comments about Hotel de Souriant and Solare de Monte in Old Quarter. Both have very good reviews but couldn’t find much room tour on KZbin or online. We are hoping for budget hotels with pool access and ideally with windows. Thanks!

Hi - thanks for watching and glad you found them useful. I haven't been to either of the hotels but based on what I see on Agoda - Hotel de Souriant have smaller rooms than the Solare de Monte. Both pools are not large size so it's probably more like a dip and short swim. It's hard to find a regular size pool in the Old Quarter. Budget hotels normally don't have pools. I don't consider these two hotels to be budget - more mid-range. Have you looked at the Anatole which is similar in price range with a larger pool and bigger facilities? Check out the link here bit.ly/4gSIRTX Enjoy your visit to Hanoi!

@@traveleatvietnam thank you so much for your prompt reply and suggestion! I know you mentioned no bad location for old quarter. But is there one hotel with most good food close by (walkable distance)?
@traveleatvietnam16 сағат бұрын
Since the Old Quarter is compact - there is literally local foods everywhere unlike bigger cities where there are a concentration of restaurants in particular areas and streets. But if I had to choose an area - I would recommend staying near St Joseph’s Cathedral.

@@traveleatvietnam hence Anatole Hanoi hotel will be more ideal location! Thank you so much! (Do you think the pool will have much utility for February?)

Would you recommend Hang Ga for first time travelers to Hanoi?😊
@traveleatvietnam23 күн бұрын
Hi - thanks for watching. Staying in part of Old Quarter is fine for first time travelers to Hanoi. Though if you prefer to be closer to landmarks and bustling activities then I would recommend the lower west side of Hoan Kiem Lake - lots of souvenir shops and places to eat.

@ what hotels are in the lower side of Hoan Kien?
@traveleatvietnam22 күн бұрын
@@HelenAbelardo I've mentioned a few options in my video. You can also take a look on Agoda to see hotels in that area with street names that I mentioned in the video.
