"If they are using a Body Cam" then request them to Identify themselves on record for the Body Cam, of which footage you are able to review through FOIA request. 1. This disrupts the officers thought pattern. 2. You now are not asking for possible retaliation, but rather for verbal documentation on the recording which would otherwise not be captured on audio. 3. Notice how they are using their right to "not self-incriminate" themselves, against you when they refuse to Identify. 4. If they do offer you to take note of their Call # and Name Tag, do it verbally and audible for his Body Cam and yours. 5. Ask for audible verbal confirmation from the officer. Don´t threaten in any manner, they do tend to get iffy quickly. "If they are not using Body Cams" then I would still do the same, just audible for your camera.

I had a cop or once and said that someone called and said I was driving around with a headlight out. I had just picked up my buddy and when we were leaving his neighborhood, one of my H.I.D.'s were flickering, so I pulled into a park so I could fix it. I was literally there 60 seconds when the cops pulled up but he said they got a call and he only started that after I told him I was fixing my headlight. Fkin liars.
