Great film...the story of Mac and his dad really choked me up...all the stories of a father and son working together on a project hit me in the heart in a warm way...reminding me of my dad and I working on my 1965 MGB I bought with my own money at 15 years old, getting it ready for my 16th birthday and my driver's license...it truly summed up what my love of cars is all about...emotions, memories and passion for all things CAR...❤💯

As much as I love the cars, it's always the stories, especially when the cars create an experience and bond for family members that can never be replaced or replicated, that truly gets to me! Owning a BMW 2002 myself, it was hard not to feel the disappointment with the young man who did not place. Thanks for the great content and upload!

I was stationed in Newport three separate times while in the USN. Bought a 1959 Alfa Spider from a gentleman without an engine....Hauled it back to NC when discharged and installed a 327-375 engine with a weind crossram intake with two 650 Holley carbs and a Muncie tranny in her. She was a memorable auto....and very fast.

I had the honor of having a small part in helping my brother in law restore a 1956 GMC pickup. It started out with 2 junkyard trucks made into one. Both looked like they should have gone to the scrap yard long ago. 5 Years later when we took it to his first car show and won best in show, best truck, and best 4 wheel drive! He was so proud I think he slept with all his awards in bed with him. :)

This was awesome to watch❤️ Seeing the cars come over the bridge was presented in a way that really made my heart sing. Well done. My dad’s first car was a white Thunderbird that he always talked about. Until now I never thought much about my first car but it was a 1978 Firebird Formula, brown with black racing stripes and louvers on the back windows. It was pretty special.

Donald, It's odd since I love history of all things that I never considered cars in the same exact way as you mentioned in your opening lines of this video. You're right. I might not be an equal enthusiast to you with cars but I still love them. I recall my favorite car of all time, but never owned one, but have been driven in it. A '65 Thunderbird. Also a college professor once found me admiring his parked Jaguar several times and gave me an unforgettable ride. It spurred a friendly conversation and rapport sorely needed in college when studying was hard. My uncle was an entusiast, always trying something new. A Buick Riviera, a Cadillac, a Lincoln, etc. Another friend drove that odd looking french car with odd back end, can't spell it. He also gave rides in his black atransAm with the hot wheels and firebird on the hood. I learned driving at early 15 in grandad's Chevy pickup, era late 50s, stick shift and clutch. Drive circles around a dug out hole we called a cattle tank on west Texas ranches. You're right how life centers much around cars. Even manhood does. Not refrigerators. Thanks for all your wonderful hard work. Thanks also to letting Jay be part of the museum videos you and him make. You two are hard not to watch and learn history from. I love history and stories.
