I feel like the Logitech Crayon's price is too high. It's only $20 - $30 cheaper than the Gen 1 Apple Pencil and it's missing some pretty useful features. Even if you don't do a lot of art, an extra $20 is a small price to pay for having some pressure sensitivity. I think the crayon would make more sense if it was $50 or less.

I agree. But I think it’s fine for college students who want to take digital notes. I can’t see how the pressure sensitivity would be a big deal for most. Only an artist would see that as a huge con. In which case, they’re better off just getting the iPad Pencil anyways.

Biggie Cheese in my case, I quite like not having the pressure sensitivity. Mostly because I just find it easier when drawing and making my art pieces. I honestly can’t imagine what my art would be like if I had done most of them with pressure sensitivity, but I don’t think they would be any better. We all have our own preferences though.

I have an Apple Pencil but it's really convenient to have another stylist. Like when the Apple Pencil is charging or when I'm traveling because I don't want to lose my Apple Pencil. People who are not professional artists or calligraphers don't quite understand how important pressure sensitivity is. The Logitech Cray can definitely not compare because of the fact they have no pressure sensitivity. Such a big thing is glossed over so many by tech reviewers because they don't see the necessity.

Great question... answer is YES you can swap the plastic nib and it works the same! They even look identical and probably the exact same part. But if you need to replace more than just the screw on platic nib, the underlying metal rods are different.

Unfortunately as much as I would LOVE to change my pencil I can’t I need the pressure sensitivey using the pen is like using my finger pressure sensitive UNFORTUNATELY I use the Apple Pencil because finger started to hurt after 30 minutes of just shading a single spot so the Apple Pencil takes care of that strong along with the tilt I actually- haven’t tried that the only thing I don’t like is that ooh my go it dies so fast and it’s scary to leave it cause if you pick it up by accident and it hits something that charger port will come off and it is gone but yes as artist for using a stencil and shading i can say that I have to use Apple

Hard to charge? You can charge Apple pencils in the charging port of your device for a quick 15 seconds and your good to go for like 30 minutes Personally for styluses, if you’re an artist, or even just for notes, there really is no comparison. Apple all the way

I have an Adonit Pixel on the way, after seeing that Procreate supported it and it was compatible with my iPad (I own an iPad Mini 4, which often has hardware incompatibilities for lots of styli, not just the Apple Pencil). I’ve heard it works quite well, just palm rejection which can be quite temperamental according to most reviews. This isn’t really a problem for me, I never put my hand on my iPad 😂 I can’t really say I like the Apple Pencil, simply because I used it for 5 minutes on my friend’s tablet before her tablet died. So I can’t miss something I’ve never properly used, right?

Don’t buy the crayon! My school started using iPads instead of computers, and told us we needed a stylus. I would say 90 percent of the grade bought crayons because our school offered them for 50 dollars. They bought them 1 and a half years ago, so beginning of last school year. Most people now have stylus’s that are cheap, because the crayon broke immediately. Those who still have it ‘working’ have the binding stripped, and have to connect the crayon to an iPad using a pencil to push the button. If you want a nice, connected pencil, just get Apple. I’ve had mine for 3 years, and I haven’t even needed to replace the tip yet. They are expensive though, so if you don’t want to spend money, just get a stylus. They work pretty good, and are way more worth it.

The HP pavilion is the best, around 50$ for new and supports pressure sensitivity, tilt function and can last more than 2 years per 1 AAA battery but only works with the pavilion
