When the pen behaves different because of the angle you hold it, that is actually called tilt support. Pressure sensitivity is just if it gets thicker when you adjust more pressure ✨
@emilystudying3 жыл бұрын
LOL oops
@kevinlee87322 жыл бұрын
Pressure sensitivity works based on the brush settings. It may get thicker when you oress, but it could also get DARKER, like pushing harder on a real pencil on paper. That is the #1 most important feature for any digital drawing styluses... Without pressure sensitivity, they are completely useless for drawing. Tilt is "ok" but i VERY rarely use it.. i shade ALOT more with pressure than with tilting...

For the hand palm rejection, you can buy a drawing glove. It’s basically a glove that covers the part of your hand that touches the screen along with your pinkie so you don’t get palm rejection problem.

I have the two-sided pen with mesh and disc tip and use it on Android. The disc tip I liked at first since it has a precise point and good visibility from overhead, but it became dirty within a few days and started to skid a little bit. The mesh tip on the other hand has been a trooper and I discovered that it has a secret advantage for sketching: you can use a horizontal grip with it and still get good registration. This is great for artists since the horizontal grip lets you stay loose, see what you're doing and not grip it too hard. I now sketch on my phone and then bring it to the computer with a Wacom tablet to ink; Wacom pens don't do sketching nearly as well, they rely on having the nib be pushed in.
@itsmerryy2 жыл бұрын
Are we gonna talk about how nice her handwriting is!?
@GreenLeaves12 жыл бұрын
For the last two styluses, they require an artist glove for hand palm rejection ( can also be used for studying not just for drawing ) and also it doesn’t connect by Bluetooth or by a button or something, they use the electricity since our hands do sorta conduct electricity(I don’t know how to say it)but a small amount of it and that’s how capacitive screens work, some of them just require touching It so just using a pen and putting pressure on a screen would work for it.
@charliebingaman5712 жыл бұрын
After having used it and others for a while, I have come to the realization that the Apple Pencil is absolutely not overpriced. It’s such a good value and works incredibly well. I recommend against the knockoffs. They have been a headache due to their unreliability. This is coming from a guy that used them for 4 months and burned through 2 of them in that time period. Both have failed me miserably. At times, they wouldnt write at certain angles so I have had to adjust and write in a weird position. They also skip at times, forcing me to erase and rewrite. I have burned through 8 nibs during those 4 months, which could have gotten me another knockoff pencil. I would just get an authentic or apple certified one. Less issues, for sure. I got a used crayon for under $40, which was a steal given how new they were in.

Hey there Emily, thanks for this really great video! I'm a Surface Pro User and I love how the writing through its pen feels, but the computer does not fit my needs anymore. While designing, I write a lot, so I was thinking to move to iPad with a pen. I have some questions for you: - Did you ever try Bamboo Fineline 3 for writing? If so, what about? - While writing with Apple Pencil, at a certain inclination of the pen, I felt a lot of friction (probably depends on how I keep the pencil while I write with palm on the screen - my hands are quite big, people say), and I'd like something with less friction (like Surface Pro's pen do). Do you feel the same while writing with Apple Pencil? How was the friction with the Logitech and JamJake? Do you have any other suggestions about how to reduce friction/resistance and increase "slipperiness"? Thank you!

Good job. You pointed out the important advantages of paying an extra $100, and clearly explained who might want or need those unique features. Thanks.

The sad thing is about all the good ones is that it only works with iPad 6th generation or up. I have a iPad 5th generation and I was going to buy the Logitech crayon but I double checked if it was compatible with my iPad by Googling it and it isn’t compatible. Is there a good quality stylus I could buy that supports my iPad?

I would say for artists the Apple Pencil is really the only option because of pen pressure. Why get an expensive tablet for art if you can't use the pressure sensitivity it supports

Mm...true, but it's a bit of an exaggeration. (The price)

At 0:30 I thought you were writing with some kind of a helper from the app. Each sentence looks so beautiful and similar to the previous one that you can confuse it with "machine letters". Awesome stuff!

The third pencil (knock off/dupe) she showed us one I’ve been using for the longest time because it’s honestly just like the apple pen. Of course it feels cheaper and doesn’t have all of the small special features the apple pen does, but it’s great! The pressure sensitivity doesn’t bother me much because I was a traditional artist before I went into digital art and it felt a lot more “at home.” Even after dropping it from my table it hasn’t broken so I would say it’s pretty good. Plus it’s just over all cheap!

Omg that's what I was thinking. I'm an artist, but I do not need pressure sensitivity at all. I feel like it's very good for its price.
