I've been a bass head for many years! Now that I'm 40 years of age, I'm told by my wife I'm to old to have a 12 in the car😤. Will I say I'm never to old to love what I enjoy! The build the first bumb the love of a subwoofer and how it sounds to my ears!! Bass head 4 life If I would to win I would be bumbing it in the trunk till the day I DIE no matter what they say 🤣

Thanks for testing the whole kicker line up I almost picked up the 12 kicker vx before but I had budget in mind and decided to go skar srv after your review! I would use the comp Q in my Impreza and build a custom ported box for it! Thanks for the sub reviews Parker!

The Comp Q is basically an Identical to the Q series square model, the box specs are the same, same motor, just different shape cone. I’ve been using and installing the Kicker Solobaric square subs since they were first released around 20 years ago. I started building slot port boxes for them right in the beginning and we did have a really high percentage of customers who bought the cheaper L5 version rather than the L7, and quite a bit more than the average number of them were blowing the subs up in the vented boxes, most likely from not using a subsonic filter which was super important with them, and they also really needed a good break in period before going hard. I’ve owned and used over 50 different subs going back to 1992, and the only time I’ve ever blown one up not on purpose was when I had a sponsor deal with Kicker in 2008 or so, and had built a big custom system in my 2003 Mustang Cobra, where I had done a sealed box for 3 of the L5 10’s, each running off its own Kicker 750.1 amp and within the first few days I had one sub sieze up. I called my guy at Kicker to see if he wanted me to send it in and 3 days later before I got a call back there were 3 L7 10’s at my door. Obviously never had another issue… the new q series are really nice and loud, they just need a big box if you want ported with good lows for bass heavy music.

And if I win, he definitely deserves it. Totally Brought a lot of joy into my life because of bass and music and teaching me everything he knows. Yea the p1 p2 even the p3 is reasonable but once u get in to the power series the price jumps dramatically and from there you have too sell your first born to afford and are not quite up to par with sundown and dc

I have a p3 12 I dont think its worth 280 even when it was 250 I dont think it was it looks really good but there not a ton special about it ive tried it free air ill try it in a box when I get one but I dont have more hopes for it then something else

The kicker q subwoofer would be something nice to own. It is an upgrade to my 6.5" LG subwoofer. If i won it I would give it a custom 20 Hz box in a room setup along with 880 watts rms of power. The dsp would be present to prevent overexcursion. Im a 13 year old who started bass recently and have been learning since!

I had a Kicker Comp 10 laying around and decided to build a box for it. Turns out its seriously no freaking joke. In the box I designed and built, I got a reading of 126.7 Dcb on my windshield in an SUV, the certified microphone I was using dropped off in between 40-50 hz so I did the test at 50hz, box is tuned to 35.5hz. I'm beyond impressed with it. Once I get my box for 4 15's built my wifes getting the box with a Kick Comp VX 10.

I got back into the slam almost two yrs ago. Stepped straight into kicker. Went from comp 10s to comp c12, to comp c 12 with solo classic 12 in comp c box. Classic does fine vented.. cvx or cvr gonna replace comp c soon for a slam box!

I always ran kickers back in the day. Still had a 12inch comp in a box that was in the back of my son's closet. Had been in there so long couldnt remember how it was wired up. Took the screws out to pull the sub out and when I reinstalled the screws my drill slipped and poked a hole in the baffle. Bought a Comp R to replace it and developed a rattle. Honestly sounds like a piece of plastic kicking around under the cone.

I'd love to have the Kicker Comp Q. I had some really bad luck and lost my Orion XTR2500.1Dz and my American Bass XR subs recently when my truck was totaled. I need some new equipment for my car when I'm well enough to install audio equipment again. Anyway, thanks for all the 🔥 videos and keep on rocking. Fs on my CompR is 26hz. I had 1 hooked up to a orion xtr1000 at 1 ohm and it held, got a little stinky on some brutal songs once or twice but I held no punches and beat on it everyday for about 4 months before getting a bdc4 12 but it never blew.

I've been rocking Kicker subs since I started driving. Had 2 round Solobaric 10's in a bandpass in my Dakota, then 4 OG L7 10's, a pair of CVR 10's in my Ranger and I'm about to put a pair of L7T 10's in my Superduty. That CompQ would sound great when I rebuild the system in my Dakota.
