I think that is the first time I saw Alan smile, when the lady brought out the food...lol. The noodles looked like Pad See Ew noodles. Love those newly discovered places to eat. I've never been to Ko Phangan, but plan to visit there some day.

This is the Alan I know, he's always smiling and joking around. But you know it's not easy to be on camera, especially if you're the person not talking. So while I joke with him that he has a resting B face, I don't mind that he's just being himself and not faking a smile for the camera.

I stayed a week and we were there during Full Moon but it was raining and so while we were curious, we weren't THAT curious. What was hilarious was that on all the Facebook groups the next day were people saying they lost their phones that night. There is a whole ring of organized crime to easily pluck iphones from drunken participants pockets.

I was really happy to see this video because this is the Alan I know. He's always smiling and joking around. But when I shoot videos he is always concerned about giving me space to do it, especially if I need multiple takes to explain a dish which happens often. I tease him that he has a resting B face, but really it's just not the experience of being on camera (which people don't realize isn't easy at all) and knowing to smile so you don't have that face. But if anything I think it just makes his interactions more genuine.

Whenever people ask me about traveling my home country it's hard for them to believe it's cheaper for me to fly to Europe than to BC. I would love to see more but it's so $$$

We didn't, is that one of the beaches we should have gone to because I don't need much of a reason to go back!
