What made the difference this last time is that I WAS TRULY READY TO QUIT. I SINCERELY WANTED IT...not just "kind of" wanted to quit. I was finally 100% honest with myself, and realized no matter how I diced it, there was no way I would ever be successful in my life until I quit my addiction.

When u do this, yeah tapering then jumpin off kratom SuX, but u do return to normal after 2-3 weeks...people are scared to never feel good again, BUT u WILL. My line is “ur only addicted when you think you are,” (ie: worrying) in otherwords, when u dont think about it and do the little things in a routine (hobbies), then ur brain seems to return to homeostasis faster then thinking bad thoughts about it

Hey congrats on 7 months off opiates. My addiction is klonopin for 30 yrs straight .I'm on a taper of the med and me personally the Red Thai or Red Bali helps me most for the withdrawal stage .But greens are good for morning like Green Malay , super indo etc .It's saved my life also because I tried to quit Klonopin cold and became an alcoholic overnight , haven't drank in 6 months because of kratom and cannabis . @@agussaputra3594 I finally made it. I went fro fentanyl and kratom to regular diacetyl morphine and kratom down to just plain kratom. I feel so much better.I was riding my Harley and got clipped on my back fender which put me into a telephone pole six weeks ago. I had my right leg crushed and in the three places that the trauma happened I got blood clots. The blood clots broke loose and I got a pulmonary embolism and the surgeons say that I am lucky to be alive. 99% of people who have what I have just plain die on the spot. Now I am alive and clean. I gotta give Chris credit for this. It was a tough road but it is worth it.

@@avadoble8345 Sleep was back to 85-90% quality within 10-12 days. For me, the anxiety was the easiest part because I felt like I had control over that. It sounds weird, but just mentally accepting the fact that I will have/experience anxiety at any given time made it so easy. I would just take deep breaths and remind myself why I was doing this, and almost instantly my anxiety would evaporate.

Congratulations and praying for your continued happiness! I’m suffering. I have spinal damage with pinched nerves... on and on after a Jeep rollover accident on a mountain where our breaks went out. I was crushed under the Jeep. My scapula snapped in half and separated, my lungs were punctured, all ribs broken, and now years I suffer pain after a pregnancy that was to much for my body. I hate meds! I’d never taken a drug in my life. Ever. It’s not who I am. I watched it hurt my family as a child and never touched it. However, multiple Neurosurgeons have declared me inoperable and told me I have to deal with the need for meds and not worry about what others think or the symptoms. I’m trying to homeschool my babies and then with the new laws they cut me back. I refused Fentanyl OxyContin etc. I’ve never taken more than two hydro or oxy at a time but as anyone with pain knows... 3-4 hours later I’m back in pain. The cuts make it where I end up in withdrawal. I hate it. I hate the pills. I hate who I am. I hate it all. This is NOT me. After the accident. I dropped off dilaudid cold turkey when my ex cop husband decided to use my pain against me directly out of the hospital ( he’d been cheating) . Had no insurance. And ended up slowly getting stronger through dancing. I didn’t need anything unless I pushed myself to far and landed myself in an ER. Now, after pregnancy. My pain level after withdrawing is endless. I’m at a loss. I started looking for other methods and found Kratom which lead me to you. I’m completely new to this idea. Scared about needing it on a continuous basis but so very ready to do anything that doesn’t mean meds that control and trap me. If anyone gets this far. THANK YOU! Let me be clear, getting sober doesnt mean life is all rainbows and roses, it will still smack you around here and there as it does everyone. ​@@nicholeormiston6870 If you really want to get off of heroin you should talk to your doctor about getting into a Suboxone clinic and it will instantly stop the cravings and slowly you get off the Sub's and then use Kratom as a Maintenance tool. Believe me, friend, if you're a hardcore heroin user like myself Kratom will NOT stop the withdraws. I did it just the way I've told you and been clean for 11 years. Kratom is good and has its place but as a Maintenance tool. And don't let no one tell you they've been on Heroin for 20 years and Kratom took all the craving away, I've never seen that done Never.

Wow! Congratulations on 7 months clean. I’m battling opioid withdrawal. I just finished day 8 of know methadone, but I had to take 30mg morphine, to help with the withdrawal. It’s so bad, feels like a flu times 1000. Anyway, I bought Kratom a white for the day, and red for night. How soon did Kratom kick in for you to help with the withdrawals? Hey Frank, I’ve been on methadone for 12 years, I have gastrioprisis and had a feeding tube and many surgeries. The dr put me on methadone to help me, but it’s the devil! Plus on top of it, they put me on morphine, soma, fentanyl, plus methadone, and Xanax. I got myself of the morphine, fentanyl, soma. I still take the Xanax, but only when I absolutely need it. Getting off the morphine, and fentanyl was not bad, but coming of methadone it was bad. I was in the hospital last week (for another stomach surgery). I was already tapering my methadone because I wanted to be off. I was on 30mg (liquid). The hospital wouldn’t give me the methadone which was a blessing in disguise. The withdrawal in the hospital was horrible, I was restless, throwing up, had so much Xanax, and bad stomach pain on top of surgery. It was bad. I’m not going to lie, coming off methadone is rough. Once out of the hospital, the withdrawals got worst. I can’t sleep, horrible stomach pain (but I have GP, so it makes it worse). I’m now 2 weeks clean no opioids. I did call my dr, and they did rx clondin that helped a lot, plus something for the restless legs at night, and something for sleep called Trazdone (don’t like the trazdone I feel so weak and gross in the am.) if you can, ask your primary about those meds. I ended up not taking Kratom. Just because I’ve made it through with the meds the dr gave me. I hope this helps. I pray that you won’t have as bad as a withdrawal. The sooner you get off the better. Methadone is the worst. If I knew what the dr’s were putting me on, and knew you would have this bad of withdrawal, I would’ve told them to go F themselves lol. They never told me anything and I was super young at the time.

I just bought my first Kratom capsules today. It was the red malaysia strand. I got it from a novelty shop. The reps were really helpful on guiding me for help in choosing the right type of kratom to help taper me off of opiate pain killers due to having MS for over a decade. Well i took my first dosage of eight capsules at once yesterday. Ofcourse I was a little scared but after reading a few reviews on Lipht kratom premium malay and all of the reviews were positive so i figured im pretty safe. After taking it, i started to feel the effects within 20 minutes or so. I noticed i had no cravings for opiates at all. My energy levels were high and my mental state was good. No MS pain or discomfort but the directions did say take 8 every 4hrs or as needed. Im still confused as to which strains work best. The clerk at the store said this was a very common strain to use for opiate withdrawal and or depression and anxiety. Its now my second day using and im pleased so far!😊

20 year prescribed oxy pain patient, struggling to find the right serving size. I have like super senses and metabolize things much faster then the average. I so far gravitate toward the white vein plus its more tolerable. Also seem sensitive to the alkaloids and get stomach aches yet didn't recall it with the white Bali and kinda now with the white maengda. Im thinking since Kratom has alkaloid blockers it provokes withdrawal if you have a higher ceiling of opioids first. It kinda seems to block opioids afterwards in 24 hrs or so. This plant is likely a god send for addicts, but for pain relief and dependency, I hoped for more.....

@@zyback it was amazingly easy man, I started taking the Kratom on the same day I had my last sub , got a nice buzz from it. I tried a little two gram dose first to check I wasn’t allergic to it or anything and then took another five grams. For the next three or four weeks I took two or three five gram doses of good quality red maeng da. No withdrawals from the subutex broke through at all, other than feeling slightly uncomfortable in the morning upon waking. I’d just go downstairs take five grams which I mixed with a few drops of lemon juice and hot water and downed it. Within twenty minutes I’d feel lovely. After a couple of weeks I felt fine in the morning even before taking any Kratom. I had no restless legs or insomnia. Then after four weeks I stopped dead on the Kratom. Didn’t taper. Went to Peru for a couple of weeks and I was tired for a few days but then that could have just been jet lag as it was a very long flight from the uk. Anyway I haven’t looked back. Now I’m in the gym most days getting back into weight training and living a good clean life. My suggestion would be to keep the daily Kratom use as short as you can just to get you through the first couple of weeks. 0.4 subutex is a really low dose and I am sure that I could have done it without the Kratom as I’ve tapered off methadone before without anything to help.However it made the whole thing easier and actually enjoyable. Just make sure you get a good supply of high quality Kratom from a good vendor. You can do it man, just be aware that it gives like a very mild opiate like buzz so it is addictive in itself for people like me, in my experience though it’s very very mild withdrawal symptoms. I’ve got some arriving tomorrow but I haven’t had any for a few weeks . I ordered it today after damaging my leg at work today falling off a scaffold, it’s great for pain relief.

@@zyback well I didn’t really get any high from subs as I was not abusing them but using them to quit heroin , in the past when I have abused subs though the buzz has virtually no euphoria and just a bit of a nod and double vision , not particularly enjoyable. Kratom high is just a very mild euphoric feeling and relaxation , feels more like a 5% of a heroin high

Okay, so I need help because I want to use Kratom to help me taper off of Subutex. However, I also don't want to build up this high tolerance to Kratom either so that, when I finally do kick Subutex, I don't end up substituting one addiction for another. I also need to know which type of Kratom will help with this, but won't make me tired. I couldn't use medical Marijuana because I can't function when I'm high and tired. I've read that there are a lot of different varieties of Kratom that help with both pain while still allowing you to function and even help with focus and whatnot. So yeah. Another reason I need to make sure that I don't end up with some exceedingly high tolerance level either is because I'd like to be able to use it whenever I need severe pain relief on my bad days. My husband and I live paycheck to paycheck and making sure my kids are fed and housed comes first. I'm broke, so yeah. Can anyone give me some advice on what I should do and where I should buy from?

Vhenan, my opinion: Just do it. You won't really know how much you will need and not need until you do it. I wouldn't want you to completely substitute kratom for subutex but it would be a better alternative. Using a lot of kratom daily would start to get pricey but I hope you wouldn't have to use that much every day. I haven't been able to take kratom without it churning my stomach so I'm not taking it right now. I've also never used kratom for opiate withdrawl. I think no matter what you are going to suffer and you just gotta get through it when you do. I know you can do it.

Try takeing 4 and if you still feel the Withdrawals take 6....it really all depends on what, and how much you were everyone's different for me I was oxy 150 mgs daily so I had to take 15 capsules hope this helps

Not sure how big/small your capsules are, but a good starting dose is between 2-4 grams of kratom powder. My "sweet spot" was roughly 4-5 grams each dose, and I would need to dose about four or five times a day (20-25 grams of kratom powder each day). How are you holding up so far Geniuz??

@@geniuzmario7720 There are 2 sizes of capsules if I remember correctly, one is .5 grams and the other are 1 gram (I could be wrong so don't hold me to this!). So 8 would roughly be about 4 grams which is the dose I needed to take to help my withdrawals. You feeling and doing okay today?

I’m gonna be an asshole… embrace the suck isn’t a unique saying. Ranger platoon drills that one in your head and I’ve also heard other Socom units say it so I’m gonna say embrace the suck is a term all of Socom and JSOC use. Shit I think I’ve heard marines and basic infantry say it lol. Solid advise though, it’s great saying. Although comparing it to opiate withdraws might not be the best idea. Because opiates it don’t matter how strong you are, the withdrawals aren’t just physical pains you can suck up they are mental. Best way I can describe opiate withdrawal is it like tripping on bad acid where you stuck in your mind. You feel a pressure inside your own head, your disassociated from your body which is the part that murders me personally. I’ve been through some shit, including some elite military units and opiate withdrawals are the worst thing I’ve ever experienced and I’ve beaten them before and like everyone else I found my stupid ass looking down the barrel again knowing how bad it was I still put my self back in that seat. If you beat opiate withdrawals learn from your mistake and always remember the hell you had to go through. It’s gets worse and harder each time. I’ve seen the strongest men this country has to offer fall to this addiction. I understand the shame and the guilt but don’t think for a second that anyone is immune to it. I’ve seen the strongest most righteous of men fall to this addiction. The worst thing you can do is give into it, give into the guilt and give into the addiction. Don’t ever accept it as your fate. Personally I hate when people call it a disease. It’s not a disease and the people that first started calling it a disease are the same assholes profiting billions from the rehab programs. Calling it a disease is taking hope from people. It’s not a disease it’s a drug, it’s a powerful one but still just a drug. It’s doesn’t define you. Once your off your off. Don’t continue to call yourself an addict just because you got addicted to something that forced your body into a phycally dependency. Once it out of your system it bo longer has a grip on you if you don’t let it. The power of the mind is unbelievable but you have to get in that driver seat and take control of how you think. If you tell yourself your an addict with a disease then you will fail. If you tell yourself your clean and no longer an addict and close that chapter but always been ever the lessoned learned then you can live a normal life. The saying embrace the suck is at the end of the day taking control over your mind and understanding the mind is more powerful than the body.
