Really great video, been thinking about this choice a lot, also ended up with the egear because it was 30% cheaper to buy. One thing not mentioned is the looks of the interior, I think the manual looks a lot better because the interior is still build for a manual transmission to be put there in the middle. The egear implementation looks like duck tape solution to remove the poke and put some buttons there. In the huracan this has been solved and the central console for the manual is totally gone. Another thing is the reliability when driving. My egear sometimes shifts into first only 2 seconds after I clicked, this is confusing as you click again and are now suddenly in second and have to go back to first, holding up the line. The reliability is also an issue, egear error I have sometimes, causing me to not be able to go into third gear and higher without first having to restart the engine. The peddles losing their sensitivity and have to click them several times before they shift, the pump has broken on my car so it needed a service. Clutch wear is also higher on the egear so you have to always put in in neutral when standing in front of light, not necessary with manual. But one reason not mentioned why I like the egear is that it protects against idiot driving, over revving not possible, downshifting by accident too soon and overrevving he will also not allow, and another advantage is that you have a true automatic when you put in on automatic and don't have to shift at all, very practical if your right hand has better place to be ;) I love your video's man, first that go really into debt about the gallardo. The manuals did go up more here in Europe past 2 years then egears, estimate 20% up for manuals vs 10% up for egears.

Great video and I agree that the egear is a lot of fun. Always loved rowing through the gears with a stick shift on my previous sports cars and exotics, but there is nothing like banging through a Lamborghini egear while accelerating hard - just pure fun!

I agree that the automated manuals are better for racing and convenience, but I just love the engagement of the manual. Would I like to try out an automated manual? Heck yes! Would I buy one? Probably not because I am just too loyal to manuals.

I found a manual gallardo should I get it?, I’m looking to drive the hell out of it not let it sit in my garage. I don’t care about reliability either I’m looking for funess

I disagree with you, I have a Murcielago and drive everyday in FL and my E gear clutch is always burning out every 6 months. I would rather a 6 speed manual or even a Diablo vt

ExoticCar PlayPlace you said you drove a manual G and that’s what you THOUGHT you wanted UNTIL you tried the egear. I’ve heard many similar stories from other. They want manual and love 3 pedal cars UNTIL they try the single clutch egear. Same thing happened to me! Also, what’s your email?

It’s ridiculous that your paying that much for a clutch, Lambo prices !!! My buddy built a Factory Five GTM And went with a gallardo manual gearbox because he got it cheap Had a custom clutch built by a company out West and paid $795 for it . Throw out bearing was $65 Running strong to this day Do some research and save yourself a lot of money !!!!

ExoticCar PlayPlace I bet there is a Hewland dog ring box that will fit the Gallardo..Manual cars are a preference for many car guys..You converted yours?

The dual clutch is way better and more durable. Lamborghini single clutch only last 30,000 miles. The newer twin audi transmission preform much better.
