Las fit sells led bulbs that are already error free. I got there red ones on my ram and they work great and don’t throw a error code on my dash.

Thanks for the video! Worked for me. HOWEVER- for me (2021 1500 classic) i had to clear the faults. And give the truck a hefty amount of time. So anyone doing this. Do your configurations, clear the faults. Shut the truck off. Come back 10 minutes later. I thought it wasn't working at first. But the truck just needed time.

Always match the color of the LED to the color of the lens.

Would not reccomend that for the factory qaud beam front headlights as the turn signal bulbs are amber bulbs in a clear lens assembly

John I have a question, I've always been told that if it has a glass dome, you should make sure your finger oils do not get on it otherwise the bulb will fail prematurely (something about a hot spot on the glass). You think there is any truth to that?

I still do that when installing a new incandescent/halogen bulb but it’s not necessary with LED. These ones were coming out anyways so I wasn’t too worried about getting my hands on them 😁

So between 250 and 300 Canadian to put in LED bulbs in the tail lights ? Just seems kinda ridiculous to me, i swapped out all the interior lights and the reverse lights, but i can't justify that kind of cost for next to no difference.

Those bulbs that are presently came with the truck are not called halogen bulbs. They are just called glass bulbs. Jon you know that halogen bulbs are very sensative to moisture. Though I do agree with you that LED bulbs come on & shut off instantly while the old style glass bulbs comes on & fades off. Another thing is let your viewers be aware to be cautious in either replacing or old style bulbs to use a towel, rag or gloves. Don't want someone grabbing a hot glass bulbs by mistake. Keep up the great work Jon.
