When I assembled my Billy bookcases, I added a washer to each shelf to space it out to exactly 30" inside to put 3 baseplates. Otherwise its 1/8" or one stud too narrow

I like the Bror shelving, metal framing, wood shelving you can stain any color. I did different sizes and heights so they fit my room but still give me space to put up pictures and hang some sets on the wall.

The IKEA Billy bookcases are fantastic. Right now, I have two of each width, with eventual plans to add more.

So I too am a Billy fan for my legos, sometimes I find that they're not deep enough for some bigger sets or mocks. So I actually fused together 2 billy one in front of the other. That makes it deep enough with the two shelves on in front of the other and i also play with different heights for different shelves. (Dont know if I'm clear haha) I also use the glass doors for the bookcases to keep most of the dust out. I understand it's difficult for the glare in the videos, but it does help out to keep the sets clean

Love the input and yeah I really want the glass doors but Georgianna steered me differently as we will be doing many recording in here so we didn't want glares. Which, I guess it was a compromise

IKEA pax has a 13 inch deep and a 22 inch deep case

@@StudCity yes there are glass and wood shelves. Since it is a closet wardrobe there are several other options like angled shoe shelves to display things at an angle or drawers. PAX is the name for the wardrobe and Komplement is the line of shelves and other options

Did u order any of the ikea BESTA storage shelving units? They are deeper than the Billy. I stack them on top of each other cuz they aren’t as tall. And I have both Billy and besta to handle the different size sets I own.

You got that top piece upside down… You’re looking at the holes up top/inside…. Flip that piece and those holes and hardware are above your eyes and facing the ceiling…. Edit, looks like you fixed that initial mistake?

Quick question do all the kids, and adults, in the neighborhood want to come over and play at your house??? If you were not in Chicago I would move to your neighborhood and quickly invite myself over to play. I am a really good cook - I would use that comment as a trade to have time to play in your Lego city. I think Ikea is rip-off a big company like that shouldn't be charging you shipping especially if you are spending over $100. I see other companies like an Ikea and don't charge you shipping
