a little pointer that helped me when trying to loosen bolts from an odd angle/ position, if you look at the open end of a regular combination wrench one side of the open end sticks further out from the shank of the wrench. use the open end for reference as to which way is to loosen and which was is to tighten, for example on the gearwrench combination wrenches the shorter side of the open end is on the right so if you have the boxed end on the bolt you need to push towards the shorter side to loosen...if that makes sense. really enjoy watching your videos keep it up

Had a hydraulic clutch on my 748S, cable on my Daytona 675R and now back to hydraulic on my 899 Panigale, gotta say I think I like cable better, it's more consistent and my 899 cooks the fluid black in no time. I'm hoping you do a chain & sprocket change - need to see if it can be done without moving the footpeg/suspension bracket, I'm hoping just by removing the clutch slave it gives enough clearance.

For me, it depends what kind of bike it is whether I prefer a cable or a hydraulic clutch. Cable for naked and dual sport/MX and probably hydraulic for everything else.

I love your videos man, and I understand the KZbin algorithm necessitates you to make each build series into 40 videos but it just makes your videos hard to watch when all the other builders do an entire bike in 3 or 4 videos. I'm coming from a place of total love. Been a long time subscriber, just wanted to give a little honest feedback.
@chaseontwowheels5 жыл бұрын
What's up sir. Thanks for the comment and I do appreciate the feedback. What we focus on with WBR is taking people through the real process of rebuilding a motorcycle in order to help teach those that may not know how. With that in mind, in order for us to make the show the way we want to, we have made the creative decision to break videos into the specific steps. This means that rebuilding an entire bike in 3 to 4 episodes just isn't possible, nor would be make sense with our creative direction of the show. Hope that sheds some light on how we do the show. That being said, I am curious. What "other builders" are rebuilding a bike in 3 to 4 episodes and then giving that bike away?
@Goneriding235 жыл бұрын
@@chaseontwowheels Hey, thanks for the info. That does help me understand the thought process behind the creation. And none of the other rebuilders I'm referring to are giving away their bikes. They are flipping them for a profit. I guess I didn't take that into account. That makes more sense. Maybe I'm inpatient. Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Still love the channel.
@chaseontwowheels5 жыл бұрын
Hahaha I hear ya man. Trust me we are too and sometimes it does seem like it takes a while to get the build done but if you do thing the right way it does often take more time. Maybe when we finish the build we'll do a video combining all the footage we got and smash it all into one 15 min video and see how that does or something!

Haven't had a cable clutch very long so I don't know how to compare... The cable you feel the biting point on your fingers in addition to in your butt, hydraulic doesn't require so much pressure and it's more disconnected... In terms of preference, no idea tbh... Depends on the bike, hydraulic is nice when you're putting down some torque and therefore need stiffer springs, cable is nice when it comes to adjustability. I've got 7 bikes right now and 4 are hydraulic, 3 are cable. Of the 3 that are cable, I wish 2 were hydraulic because the springs are very stiff. #Moepowermoeproblems.

why would you need the clutch switch? beside trying to start it from 1st gear (so the bike does safely start) any use beside that?
@AT2Productions5 жыл бұрын
Alelo Most Ducati engines wanna know when the clutch is engaged to adjust the EFI
@aleloAT5 жыл бұрын
@@AT2Productions but for what purpose? the idle/fuel consumption during N and clutched in no gas should be the same - so what would the ECU change in the EFI if the clutch is pressed or not? *edit* the only ECU/EFI change i found the switch does (beside safty) is limiting the RPM to 9000 when activated/clutch in - which would have no effect unless you want to revbomb someone on max RPM (which the switch would not allow)
@sputnikl7275 жыл бұрын
@@aleloAT cruise control wont work without that and other electronics might have a problem also
@gamekeeper6875 жыл бұрын
Alelo various bikes and manufacturers have certain requirements for a bikes ecu to re adapt the fuelling etc, one of which being a clutch switch being at the released position among others sidestand switch and so on.
@andreibonteanu36555 жыл бұрын
@AT2 Productions, @Alelo when you have a quick-shifter that can do clutchless upshifting, the ECU needs to know when the clutch is not depressed so it can smoothly execute the engine firing disengage for the upshift. Otherwise it assumes you are releasing the torque on the throttle as you pull the clutch in and shift up to do a normal up-shift. It’s a very important part to ensure the process runs smoothly in emergency and normal operations. ie you don’t want the engine disengaging to assist with the upshift if you’re doing it manually because that throws timing off. -WBR paninglee previous owner

I much prefer a hydraulic clutch until the Clutch Slave decides to go bad but there’s normally a little warning of fluid loss rather then the cable just snapping. Currently on a BMW RT and you actually gain fluid as the clutch wares away and it needs a good air bubble or the clutch can hydrolock and doesn’t work 😂 🙏 high five chase you worked well today

#outrocrew For me, hydraulic clutch, but cable throttle. Clutch for ease of use, not so demanding forces on left hand, and my ocd likes symetrical reservoirs up front, and also on the "engine side" it just looks "cleaner" than a bold lever. On the other, right hand :) cable throttle, to feel more connection with the machine ;)
