Flanker is best if you have good spacial awareness and like going aggressive into flags v infantry. Howitzer is by far away the most useful against other tanks.

I have to disagree. I like the close support tank as you should always be with infantry to supply them with ammunition and health while your attacking or defending a position so as that tank if you play it right you will most often have infantry support to repair and you to fight tanks with you as long as you stay with them and supply and give them a ride and cover

For going against other tanks like in monte grappa, I would just use the tank hunter landship. Put your tank at a 45° Angle to the enemy and just switch back and forth between the driver and 2 other seats. You will destroy the other tank in no time.

The flanker tank is great. Personally I prefer the howitzer tank. It is devastating against ground vehicles and the hmg melts infantry every at long range. The key with the howitzer is to try to always keep enemies is front of you since it does not have a 360 gun turret. I also try to stay hidden so I can get the drop on incoming tanks. Lastly the howitzer on hardcore maps is ridiculous. The hmg kills infantry in just 2-3 hits. I can easily get 100 kills a round with good positioning since the hmg is laser accurate at long range

Yeah the howitzer is my favorite one. I just love destroying other tanks with it. They always try to escape but usualy with the first shot their tracks are broken.

I think the beta version Howitzer is the best tank. Because the turret can rotate 360 degrees, it can 3-shot-kill an heavy tank, it can also disable the main cannon of any tank in one shot(this feature is removed from the final game). After the official release of the BF1, Flanker was the best tank. Because it has very short reload time. The fire power consistency made it viable to go head to head against other armored vehicles. But after a few patches, the reload time of Flanker became noticeably longer. The longer reload time effectively breaks the rhythm of fire. Now both infantry and vehicles can easily escape from the Flanker when the Flanker is reloading. At the current state, against what you suggested, I think the Close Ground Support light tank is the best. It actually is very effective against infantries. Both the light machine gun and the 37mm cannon are very effective against infantries. I can easily get 20+ kills with 0 death. I do admit that it is very weak against heavy tanks. However, I spend most of my time chasing infantries. To my experience, though it is very hard for me to destroy an heavy tank single-handedly , most of the times they won't kill me either. I can grind a heavy tank, making sure it won't be able to harass infantries on our side. I have almost 20,000 kills on light tanks. All my opinions comes from my experiences.

I love it. My favorite of the bunch, howitzer a close 2nd. It's the most versatile and effective variant, if you know how to properly use it. I utterly destroy enemies with it. I cringe every time I see some moron pull a Leeroy Jenkins into a base full of enemies and get swarmed like a dumbass. That sort of play style is why we have the St. Chamond Pigeon Artillery strike. LOL

The Howitzer is so good imo, I don’t use any other tank. It can kill every tank faster than any other tank and has a good machine gun. It’s also small, fast and harder to hit and can repair fast and smoke. And you don’t need gunners who get bored after 5 seconds and leave.

+Ze insane Medic even worse than leaving is when the gunners get bored and start shooting the machine guns constantly. Now that firing in a vehicle spots you on the minimap for the enemy, it's the fastest way to get swarmed and taken out.

Unless you play as howitzer variant, it's reverse speed is it's forward speed if you want to use that armor. Should we add a modifier for US equipement and player so that they can only deploy after 4/5th of the round is over and enemy team had almost lost?

Love for the light tank finally :) This little guy is my jam. Light flanker is what I use. The auto canon reloads fast and can pound away at infantry at close to medium distance all day long. It has a few benefits you didn't mention. The firing arch allows you to lob shells from behind cover in 3rd person view. A 360 degree turret allows you to pound heavy tanks while maneuvering behind them where they cannot shoot you. I've killed lots of heavies with this little guy. Love it.

Great video. Close Support tanker here. I think this is a case of stats on paper and actual usage differing pretty severely. The only disadvantage to this variant is direct engagement with heavy armor. If you're sneaky like this tank calls for, then even A7Vs aren't too bad. It's true theMG doesn't hit very hard, but it's ridiculously accurate even at range. If I could improve anything it would be splash damage against infantry. Seems like the shell from the main cannon has less damage than a hand grenade.

Yeah. Because at the time, steel casting, especially for a wheel so large was a relatively new, and unproven method. At the time, it was simply a pain in the ass to make such large castings for a part that could suffice in being made from radially positioned wood planks. It saved weight, production time, and precious raw materials.

i loved the light flanker tank and it is still usable today, however i saw noticeable change when the flak perk was added (and it as a default meaning very common to find), I defiantly found new love with the st chamond though. I have to try out that howitzer, I've never even used it

The key to the light tank is the 360 turret. So use the Close or Flanker. If not you're better off picking another tank.

The best thing about the flanker tank are the AT mines. When you are low on health and another tank is chasing you, just drop them. They will usually be too distracted to notice the mines and go straight through.

I usually use the bomber killer fighter plane but I've heard the attack plane version has a tighter turn radius when you use the speed boost. IDK if that's enough to make it worthwhile considering the value of the quick repair the fighter version gets but that's why it would make a great vehicle analysis video.

I use the Light Flanker Tank if enemy tanks aren't going to show up as much, such as if there are fewer tanks available at any one time, or just rely on my teammates to finish them off after I have shot them a bit. If I know I need to pitch in and deal with enemy armor, I choose the Heavy Assault Tank, with both great anti-infantry and anti-armor capabilities.

Bruh, the close support tank is great. Get some good shells off in the middle of a batch of infantry, and you'll see. Also, the lmg still fires really quickly and can take out infantry quickly, too.

The close support tank requires more shots to kill vehicles but the howitzer cannon has a slow rate of fire. IDK if the close support cannon fires faster but I'm curious because if the close support fires faster it might be able to hit and run at distance better than the howitzer version. I prefer the howitzer and flanker but it's been so long IDK if the close support is as bad as it compares to others on paper but it's worth looking into.

+cee kay it does shoot quite quickly for sure. But then you still have the reload to wait for if you're up against a heavy tank. If the enemy tank has a support repairing him, you might never be able to kill him

Eh at some point close support was changed, but close support is probably the best version: -It's MG is godly at cutting down infantry at absolutely crazy ranges. It can cross map connect MG fire, it has near perfect accuracy. -The main gun is better than flanker at killing infantry hiding behind cover or in buildings. -Main gun is better than flanker's at attacking other tanks without giving up the turret rotation like with howitzer. If you are going to choose howitzer you are probably better off in a arty truck. -It's repair heals for the highest amount if not a little situational, It really helps when attacking things like arty trucks. What flanker has going for it is the mines and being able to shotgun planes that fly low. Otherwise the Close support is basically just better. Arty truck is objectively better than howitzer LT. It's faster, 360 turret, can aim up at planes, fast velocity and in general is just a massive terror if used properly.

Howitzer is great, there's nothing better in this game than driving up onto a rock, blasting at a defensive position across the map and tearing down infantry, tanks and buildings and they have no idea where they are being hit from.

Close support is a monster when your pushing up with the team. With the supplies you can dump well let's just say I've have my entire team basically appear out of nowhere (got the most healing in that game without getting out of my tank)

Overall I'm not a big fan of the light tank. It discourages team play as it's only a one man thing. I prefer the A7V or Mk 5 tanks because you can get more people involved (and get bigger score when you destroy them)
