you can put a red circlular adhesif around the posi side on the those bats and it'll double the visual security ;) if you are tying down a cable use something to stop it rubbing on the carbon or it will cut right through ;)

Awesome tips Troy! Good thing we don’t have to worry about driver weight like they do in the 1:1’s! They’d need a motor the size of an oil drum and a 3000A esc to regain all that lost power with me in there!😝😂

my go-to is the CNHL 4000mAh 7.6V 2S 120C HV. They are usually under $30 a piece and weigh about 165g. They are very similar to the Gens Ace Redline 4000 LCG which is also very good. The CNHL seems to have a bit more runtime which explains the slight extra weight. For the price, they can't be beat.

Thanks for the info! I have had mixed results with CNHL batteries, but always happy to try again!

Funny I found this video today, Troy. Coincidentally, I was having a bit of trouble with my converted TT-02 and the thing is… LiPo will give me the power I want but on NiMH, it has the weight I need. As far as the Yokomo YD-2 goes, you can run Tamiya-style stick packs (both NiMH and 2S LiPo) or “shorty” 2S LiPo packs. The guys around me have use Lectron Pros, ProTek and Gens Ace. I’ve seen a few RêveD shorty packs but those were mostly on RêveD MC-1 chassis. I’ve only seen one or two actual Yokomo Racing Performer shorty packs but most have been Gens Ace or Lectron.
@RoadsideRC2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response. Nimh is very heavy, correct?
@autofctrl5 ай бұрын
2 Questions here: What size of LiPo would you suggest for drifting? Gens Ace make 4000, 5100 and even 6000 S2 shorties. How much runtime do you get out of them..? Thank you so much in advance :) Regarding the bullets that fit both holes on the LiPo, I've seen they sell 4mm and 5mm Bullets and reduction shells. So one could reduce the + bullet in size and make it fit only one side.
@RoadsideRC5 ай бұрын
1) the smallest/lightest lipo you can get. Even a 4000mah lasts a LONG time, especially depending on how much turbo/boost you are using. 2) Genius idea! If one is larger than the other = impossible to plug in backwards!
