Best Low Profile Keyboard and Only This Price?! - Chilkey ND75 LP

Man I saw this keyboard like a week after I ordered my lowfree lite. I wanted a nice sounding board for a good price and it felt like the kickstarter lofree lite was my best bet. Had I seen this earlier I would have def ordered this instead…still might 😂😂

@ It is from a typing perspective, but appearance wise it is quite lacking and feels pretty cheap given the plastic material. Overall, I’m happy with it given I paid the kickstarter price for it. But its normal price is more expensive than this keyboard, especially if you want the silent switches.

@@PaulyGutes yeah the thing I was considering when I was looking at this board too and I will be testing out the Lofree lite soon as well to compare with this board is just the fact that the lofree is a cheaper build while this is a really nice aluminum build. The con though is that you don't have as many switches available to switch with the board, but it is super nice and feels great.

@@mikeytypes If you do try the lofree lite I think you should also make sure you also get the Hades switches for comparison. I don’t have them, but from everything I hear it’s a super unique typing experience and a differentiator from other lp keyboards. Look forward to seeing your comparison on the two.

I feel so mixed. MX style would compliment this massively. Their site could use a native English speaker to polish some things. It mentions only Win/Mac, but later shows the penguin & android images too. Web based software, so probably full compatability. It has two mounting options- which did you test out? I wonder if the silica gel particle mounting is good. Does it really have 5 layers of foam? "Combined with future low profile switch releases, you'll have the perfect keyboard for you." I have no idea what they are saying there, lol. What is the point of hot swappable if I have no switch alternatives? Are they saying they'll make new types ...?

@@ncfacanvass5028 the biggest thing is yeah the whole MX Style is a bit of a trouble in the low profile market due to Kailh making their own style and then many companies adapting to it. Gateron does have their versions of low profile but obviously not making and releasing new ones constantly like Kailh is. I think most companies really point out the Win/Mac just due to the fact many people use those two and it has a changed setting in functions for that like Windows mode and Mac mode. Now the 5 layers not too sure of I guess it would depend on what they count as dampening or dependent on the layers each foam has for examples. Though I wonder if they will release new low profiles and possibly Wuque Studio maybe making low profile switches. But all in all I have to admit like trying my friends Nuphy and using this one like the Chilkey Low profile for the price as well really great
