A cold front finally moved through the area and dropped the temps. That’s good news for fisherman. With the water temps dropping that means the Trout bite turns HOT. I paddled out to the main creek in Murrells Inlet and saw shrimp popping on top of the water. Match the Hatch came to mind, and I reached for a Salt Strong Power Prone Jr. I worked the shore line and picked up 5 trout, 1 flounder and Bluefish. The key to the day was matching the abundant shrimp in the shallow water and working the ledge to deeper water.
