Best Market in Belize? San Ignacio!

I've always believed that the clearest window into the heart of any culture is the local central market, and this small but mighty market in San Ignacio is a must-see for any visitor.

Are prices at the market listed in BZN dollars or American dollars? Are prices negotiable?

Belizian. So the $6 honey was $3 US I might bargain on textiles/clothing, but not produce/food.

Pretty sure it's open every day, with the busiest day being Saturday

Why is it that every video on markets in Belize is about San Ignacio? Is there no other market in Belize? Do they have any market this rewarding in Belize city? San Ignacio is 115 km west of Belize city - that is quite a haul!

I posted this video because San Ignacio is where I spent my time while in Belize. I don't why others posted from it, and I've not heard of a market in Belize City.

Late reply but yes there is a market in Belize City. However it is not as vibrant and diverse as the one in San Ignacio. Belmopan City (our capital), also in the Cayo District, has a wonderful market as well!
