I bought the V2 and I'm impressed. I know that the Softerspot has a more powerful motor but this is better and comes with more attachments. The stall force is great enough that you shouldn't need more. I have twelve vertebrates fused with metal implants T4-T12-L1-L3 and then I had a hip operation and will need a hip replacement and I noticed that this thing digs much deeper than the corded Homedics percussion massager. Can't see spending $350 for a Hypervolt when a comparable product of the same strength will be $100 or less within a few years. Thank you very much for a clear and informative review.

QUICK QUESTION Scott!! There are currently 3 Medcursor models. The original "MG01," the 2nd one which you reviewed here "MG02," and a 3rd one which has an LED screen "MG03." What would you recommend between the MG02 or MG03? Seems like the only difference is the LED screen. Also is your other favorite, the Nocry (or NoCry style of massage gun) worth the extra money compared to the $100 Mercursor? Really appreciate your reply and keep up the amazing videos! got the medcurser with the soft head. it was not soft enough for my liking and the ball head is rubbish. its broken sadly and would not turn on for about 3 minutes as i tried to adjust it and fiddle around with it and it eventually turned on but only lasted one day. its still loud for a massage gun. i need a massage gun that can be used at night so i dont wake anyone up. hopefully get the bob and brad one but the deliveyr is 3 weeks! id try the sportsnear but its not got the chusioned head. £89 it cost me for the medcurser but sending it back as its faulty. it did have good enough stall force though. the heads are cheap junk inmy opinion.

Scott’s Thanks for getting back to me. I don’t want to regret what I buy. I prefer to pay a higher price to get the job done. That is I have some muscle aches and I think a good quality message gun will help. I need to put a good force on the area as it vibrating so I don’t want it to stall out. Hey, great and informative video! I am most likely going to purchase a Medcursor massage gun, however, I am debating between getting the V1 (Mini version) or the V2 (the one that you reviewed in this video). for someone as myself, who travels a lot to away games, is buying the mini version a much much better option for me, or is the difference in the sizing and the portability marginal between the 2 models? Also, does the different modes and settings on the V2, outweigh the fact that it is bigger than the V1 in your opinion?
@lucasedmonds22294 жыл бұрын
Furthermore, is there any way that one is able to change the battery on the medcursor guns, if say after they get old and are no longer able to hold much of a charge?
@BeforeYouBuyReview4 жыл бұрын
Great questions! I’d personally go with the Mini. I keep coming back to that one due to its size. I just throw it in my backpack. On a day-to-day basis I don’t bring the charger or extra heads. For a weekend I wouldn’t bring the entire case I would just bring a few heads in the charger. You could definitely take the massage gun apart and replace the battery. I don’t think it would be too hard. I’m an IT person by trade so I don’t mind tinkering in tech stuff like that. My guess is nothing is soldered for the battery though so it should be a pretty quick change out if you can find the spare battery.
@lucasedmonds22294 жыл бұрын
BeforeYouBuy Ok, awesome, thanks for the reply! Just another quick question, what do you think about the different “modes” that the V2 has? Would you say those are merely gimmicks or have you noticed any merit in having the three different modes?
@BeforeYouBuyReview4 жыл бұрын
I think there are some use cases and certain types of massage recommend different types. I personally only use the fitness mode on it. Sometimes I use the Health mode to massage the top of trap so it doesn’t vibrate my entire head. Lot slower RPMs and softer stall force, but that’s not a necessity.

How can I know if I have a v2 or v1?
@BeforeYouBuyReview4 жыл бұрын
If it looks like this it’s the V2. The other one I call the Mini and it’s much smaller. Those are more my words as I don’t think they technically have different names for the models from what I can tell.

Thanks for the review. I tried my brother's Hypervolt with the ball attachment on level 2 and loved it. I read that the Hypervolt's amplitude is 10mm, the Medcursor V. 1 is 12mm and the V.2 is 14mm. Do these small differences in amplitude make much difference? Thanks.
@BeforeYouBuyReview4 жыл бұрын
Technically they do make a difference because it's deaper into the muscle. If blindfolded will the average person notice ... Probably not

Could I ask about the stall force of this gun? I saw that seller replied on amazon that this gun has 16.5lb stall force, which is not good. But from your video it seems is good. Is that the stall force increases as the level and speed increases as well? I almost wanted to buy this gun, but afraid that it has not enough force. Hope u can have another video testing about the stall force and RPM. Thanks!
@BeforeYouBuyReview4 жыл бұрын
You bet. I laid out the specs on the RPMs. The different modes each vary the RPMs for each of the four speeds. For the stall force, it's actually pretty good for this cost. There are some that are higher, but using the bullet on my hip and digging in I wanted to go lighter before it did if that makes sense.

Great work on the reviews! I am torn between the Medcursor and the V2. Both win at value in my eyes. You mention the V2 an amplitude of 14MM, but their website it says 12MM. Is this a different product from what you originally reviewed? I think this would be the deal breaker for me.
@BeforeYouBuyReview4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for letting me know! It does look like it's 12mm according to spec. I just reviewed the Sportneer and says it's only 11mm, but man that thing hits hard and doesn't stop! As long as you can drive the massage gun in team with stall force it's not as big of deal. If you have weak stall force than it's definitely not an options for me personally. Here's the video on the Sportneer if interested at all: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jITampmepLmepas

I personally love the Mini. I'm an American Ninja Warrior and train hard for the show twice a week and active other days. That said, you may also want something stronger depending on your needs. Make sure to subscribe, I think I have just the video coming up (recorded today and will post in the next week or so) regarding power!

Wow, thanks!! Haha Funny you say that. My brother - also named Matt - used to get that all the time in Highschool/College 😂👍 I've had some massage guns for well over a year, with some heavier use passing around to friends at the gym etc and it's still going strong. If it's a product I'm recommending, I definitely try to take long term build quality into consideration. Hope that helps!!

Which head would you recommend for someone with sensitive skin? Would the hard plastics work well with massage oil? Im stuck between this one and the smaller one because the smaller one comes with a couple metal head tips.
@BeforeYouBuyReview4 жыл бұрын
Great question. Are you allergic to metals at all? I found that the plastic works for most people. I also have a friend who’s allergic to metals so she has to stay away from the metal tipped ones. Plastic is totally fine for massage oils and I sometimes do that as well. I also like the metal tip ones because you can kind of put them in the freezer so it’s a little colder, plus the coupon code on the Medcursor Mini works where this on expired thus saving an extra $10ish. For what it’s worth, I personally carry around the Medcursor Mini a lot in my backpack because of the size.

Love your videos! Just wondering if I should go for the Medcursor V1 or V2? Not worried about portability and battery since I will use my massage gun at home and not concerned about money (since they are pretty close in price). My decision will solely be based on the stall force to target my quads, glutes, and hips. With this in mind, which massage gun would you recommend? Can you even tell the difference?
@BeforeYouBuyReview4 жыл бұрын
They are about the same in terms of use. I would also recommend looking into the Softspot S2. Using my code it's about the same price and I feel it's the best I've tested for deep muscles. The Medcursors are also good, but if you want the extra power go with Softspot. Check out my 13 Massage gun comparison video for the link getting you a discount 👍 I hope that helps and please let know if you have other questions.

BeforeYouBuy Hi Scott, how inconvenient was the LCD screen on the Softspot? (In terms of how often you touch the buttons by accident?) I’m debating between the softspot (for more power) and the medcursor (for overall performance based on your reviews). Also, when comparing the 6 heads between the medcursor mini and v2, which set would you recommend? (Other than your favourite flat top) I’m hoping to order one in the next few days for my boyfriend’s birthday. Hopefully you get to see my comment before then.
