I wish I saw this a month ago! I bought a Renpro massager that you guys recommended in the past. It does do a good job! I have an old whiplash injury and the massager is long enough to reach the spot and heavy enough to apply pressure without me doing yoga. I probably bought the right thing for myself.

Love your program. Love the massage gun. I need deep work in my muscles. Yeah. Often get knots. Have sometimes had to go to emergency. The massage gun has been such a help. The fork is good for the gastrocs too to get both heads. I use the cushion head on patients who are older because it’s less aggressive. Also the flat attachment on the IT band is great. Never considered it for tennis elbow tho! Awesome

Good info for all in not only repairing damage but preventing injury. My big doodle will tug on me occasionally during a cold morning walk which has led to some issues. The gun is perfect for preventing this sort of issue. They mention Tom Brady a lot - pliability is key! As is his low inflammatory predominantly whole food plant based diet - also great for preventing injuries and for recovering quickly.

I really enjoy watching you both. I just realized that there are different message guns. I am 77 years old and I watched how to diagnose if you have a sacroiliac problem and it sounds like it. I have been going to a chiropractor for a month and a half with very little results. My pain is in my right leg. It starts from the groin and down my leg. My knee also hurts sometimes and sometimes goes on the top of my foot. The pain in my lower back is on the left side but my pain on the leg is only on the right. I just ordered this massage gun thanks to your recommendations. I have spondylolisthesis L5 on S1, found on x-ray. I am not sure if this is the source of my 4+ year chronic low back pain on the left side. I’m hoping this will help. Physical therapy exercises and those given to me by my chiropractor help every morning, and I walk 4-5 miles every day pretty gently but at a good speed. As soon as I try to do something which requires bending, even just a little.... OW! I hope this device will help. I’m glad I watched as I will use the lowest setting possible at first. BTW, I got the Thermotex infrared heating pad and I think it’s great. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks Bob and Brad 💕👏

Ball is good for large muscle groups, the "air cushioned" one is probably the same or for medium muscle groups, the pointed one is good for pinpointing treatment, but can be quite intense. Honestly, you could go by how it feels. It shouldn't be painful beyond the discomfort a deep tissue massage I would say.

That's an interesting clip, I've been looking around for a massage gun occasionally but now decided to get one. I went with the cheapest option I could find at a local shop, since Amazon said the current situation might stretch international order times. It would be interesting to try the most expensive Theragun model to compare if it's really that much better.

The Theragun is WAY better than these products here. The hypervolt is NOT as intense or as durable. I will be 50 years old in December and have turned back the clock with my Theragun. I have been using it daily for about a year now. My work in the weight room has gotten better on so many fronts. My body function is like it was 25 years ago and my pain is very much decreased. That was a Mickey Mouse presentation by Bob and Brad. Get a Theragun. Cost be damned. It's worth it.

@@gdog3finally The cheap model I bought was from React, it feels and looks cheap. Even then it has been quite useful, especially for joint areas and tendons. I do a lot of sports and because of that tend to have regular groin injuries, but with this type of product it's easier to speed up recovery and also when used pre-emptively as a part of warming up it feels a lot like it actually does prevent injuries. There was also a flareup of an old shoulder injury, but it got better with a couple sessions of vibrating the rotator cuff muscles. I've been very impressed even with the cheap model so far. When working on places like the middle of the quads it's also not bad, it can give a sort of relaxing vibration. In sports massage you sometimes pay a good bit of money so that the therapist does something very similar to that. I'd still say the best bang for buck with a product like this comes when working on difficult areas like near joints.

I bought the Bob and Brad massager mini gin and the round attachment came off of the arm the second time I tried to switch attachments. Obviously i returned the gun, but I would recommend looking into the design of the attachments.

Can you recommend the type of massage unit that isn't so intense? I'm petite and stopped running, so I'm not suffering from much muscle tightness these days, but I do get cramps in my shins and calves from time to time. @@reginalee7543 you shouldn't use it directly on your head. This video even mentioned it. For areas over bones hold it sides ways to the area and it is much more gentle. Also use the foam ball tip, not the hard plastic ones which are for thick muscle masses like thighs, calves, etc

Hey guys, figured i'd add my 2 cents since I ended up taking the plunge and getting the Hyperice a few months ago. I primarily use it on my lower back (where I get my spasms) prior to exercising and in the mornings when my body is most stiff. I've definitely noticed a difference doing this in combination with core strengthening exercises. I still get muscle spasms but they're way less severe - lasts only 1-3 days tops instead of 3 weeks like it used to be. Main takeaways: a massage gun has definitely helped me as an add on and with spasm recovery/prevention. It feels great, but I would say don't expect it to completely prevent spasms - especially on its own. Also not necessary to buy a super expensive massage gun, budget ones will probably be just as effective.

I do and for me the massage gun works great. I've had life long issues with calf cramps, especially at night but also during exercising (cycling was the biggest trigger). I use the massage gun on my calves twice a day, once in the morning and then at night right before I go to bed. What I do is massage both calves for a few minutes, get up and do some gentle stretching, and then massage both calves again. That's it! For anyone considering getting a massage gun I suggest getting a cheap one at first to see if you get good results. A cheap massage gun is likely to shake itself to pieces in a few months so if you have a good outcome plan on replacing it with a quality unit. I purchased a unit from Theragun about 18 months ago and I couldn't be happier.

Best $100 I ever spent. Costco sells pretty powerful massage guns. This thing smashes some areas that no amount of stretching could ever get. Professional massages are super expensive, and there’s no guarantee the therapist hits the right spots 🤷🏻‍♀️ This thing I can use every day! And I know it’s doing something not only because of relief, but because I can feel sore spots the next day with no visible bruising. Wild.
