Loudwire is wack for these. Not sorry. Anyways, here’s mine 2000: This Darkened Heart, All That Remains 2001: Toxicity, SOAD 2002: Alive or Just Breathing, Killswitch Engage 2003: Waking The Fallen, Avenged Sevenfold 2004: Ashes of the Wake, Lamb of God 2005: Ascendancy, Trivium 2006: Fall of Ideals, All That Remains 2007: Horizons, Parkway Drive 2008: Shogun, Trivium 2009: Stand Up and Scream, Asking Alexandria 2010: Fever, Bullet For My Valentine Metalcore started to become something else around this time so I’ll stop. Also, I know some of these aren’t metal core; but they shaped metal nonetheless. Double also, there were a couple albums I wanted to include for the same years, had to pick one :(

2000s Metalcore is my favorite. I like to think it comes out in the music I release

Imo, 2009 should have been stand up and scream by Asking Alexandra. That album has aged like fine wine

2013: Killswitch Engage’s “Disarm the Descent” deserves to be in the conversation (but Sempeternal does win).

If they’re going to put some prog stuff on there, I don’t know how they didn’t put Language by The Contortionist for 2014. That is one of the best albums ever created.

The Fall of Ideals is possibly the most consistent album ive ever heard next to Crystal Castles 3 and Juturna by Circa Survive. Not even a single meh song every single one slaps
