I love Bell’s Phase too except they grow HUGE. They can also become aggressive when they mature sexually.

Mike from Mikes Monitors is the nicest dude. I asked a quick question about Zoopoxy and he and his son gave me tons of info and took a ton of time even tho i didnt have cash in hand or anything. Awesome guy!

Awesome video! Love monitors, wished I had the room for the larger ones. I have a green tree monitor female purchased captive bred who does not like to be handled. Actually she has a quite snobby attitude toward everything. Turns her head if she doesn't like what I offer her to eat as if telling me "Be gone with you peasant! You dost offer such lowly crumbs to your superior!" She's rotten, but I love her in spite of it.

Wow Dave that last monitor not sure the pronunciation, sorry was absolutely stunning. I caught a beautiful Merten’s when I was in the Cape in 2016, stunning & very chilled for a wild lizard. I love the Aussie monitors always get some love. Cheers mate from down under

I mean even a phenotype being slightly different is "different" they just are the same species and probably barely differ DNA wise. But sometimes it doesnt take much for a phenotype to be drastically different etc. hence why sometimes common or regional names can still be useful outside of Latin scientific names.

I always wonder what kind of precautions are taking that animal expose with all the different people handling the different animals from all the different owner's and they probably have their own stuff at home. It makes me wonder how diseases are prevented from Being spread? Do they take precautions? Does everybody follow the precautions?
@ThKiwi7 ай бұрын
When I used to bend, I asked anyone who handled my animals to use hand sanitizer. Perfect? No, but I never brought any mites or disease home from an expo. I also shower after an expo before I handle my own animals. 😊

I've wanted a green tree for some time but captive bred are far too pricey right now
@kaiboshvanhortonsnort3597 ай бұрын
If more generations means more 'handleability', does that imply that these breeders are deliberately NOT breeding any of the offspring that are more bitey/squirrely than their siblings?
