Glad you like the Backpacker. I just picked one up a few days ago but haven’t tried it yet. The selling point for me was the fuel, in the backyard it’s a great way to use up the fuel canisters that are almost empty. I also have an old version of the handheld. The big question with these is do they work. They have there limitations, it doesn’t take much wind to blow away “ The Bubble Of Protection” . Just keep it upwind if the bugs are bad.

Why does the backpacker cost more than the ms300? Looks like the 300 would be more. Is it because they won’t be making any money off the gas refill packs?

The trick to it is letting it warm up before it starts to actually repel mosquitos! About 5 min. Any wind makes it less effective per mph of wind

Where I am the price of 30 mats alone is the same as the 30 mat 10 butane mega pack. So you'd need an 8 ounce butane canister to last 120 hours which is around 10 bucks here. It actually ends up costing more to buy just the mats without the propane. ($70 for the 120 hour mega pack vs $75 for 5 24 hour mat packs + $10 for fuel) Stupid decision on their part.
@floppinfish5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree. On amazon you can get 18 pads and 6 carts for 23 dollars. Its 17 dollars for 12 pads alone. Figure in the price of the camp fuel and your about breaking even. They are some smart brains behind their pricing. They will get their money some how. So I vote for the one you can clip on your belt. Gonna cost the same anyways. But tho each their own.

"Climate change" has been happening as long as there has been climate.
@rapaciousinterloper47255 жыл бұрын
@@SurvivalOnPurpose Yes, climate change has been happening as long as there has been climate, but this is different. This is anthropogenic climate change. Unfortunately, your scientific illiteracy, inability to understand science, willful ignorance, and outright stupidity will not save the planet from the destruction caused by uneducated simpletons like you. Go read a science book; I'm sure you've never done that in your life, dummy. Unsubscribed.
@SurvivalOnPurpose5 жыл бұрын
Isn't it ironic that so many who would claim the defense of "science" in support of their beliefs are unwilling to embrace the very foundational tenets of science: the unrelenting questioning of EVERY conclusion and rational discussion of the issues. Instead, they resort to insults and name-calling to any who dare not walk in lock-step with the "official position". The logical conclusion would be that those who behave like that are either unsure of the accuracy of their position or are afraid too much examination will uncover them as frauds. For example, I said nothing to contradict your assertion of "anthropogenic climate change" . But, since I didn't immediately repent for my sins and agree that you are right, your immediate response was to insult me and call me names. How very scientific.
@JohnSmith-gs4lw5 жыл бұрын
Rapacious Interloper Hey, 2009 called and they want their ignorant, completely disproven theory back. Maybe you need some updated science books because AGW isn’t even talked about any more. If you haven’t noticed, in an attempt to once again control the English language, they’ve moved away from global warming and we are all supposed to call it “climate change.” You’re all still as insufferable as ever. Save your proxy guilt for developing countries who, understandably, worry more about finding clean drinking water than worry about carbon emissions. SOP burning a pound of propane every year is about one cow’s worth of flatulent or one mud puddle worth of methane. Go talk to India. Go talk to China. Good riddance.
@rapaciousinterloper47255 жыл бұрын
@@SurvivalOnPurpose Science has nothing to do with insulting fools; that was all me, dealing with an ignoramus who makes deleterious statements that minimize the importance of a deadly, manmade catastrophe called climate change. You are scientifically illiterate. You are the Dunning-Kruger effect personified. I noticed you didn't refute my assertion that you have never read a science book, and I mean completely read an entire science book, as an adult. In the age of reason, as an adult, as a curmudgeonly old man at this point, you have been too intellectually lazy and downright stupid to read a science book, not one. So don't lecture me with your scientifically illiterate mind and pseudo-intellectualism, dummy. GO READ A SCIENCE BOOK!
