I've been following you two for a while now and this felt like a special video for me. I grew up in Devon and still spend a good chunk of my time there when I'm not travelling. It was nice seeing such familiar roads through someone else's eyes.

Hi, thanks very much for your comment and we are glad you have been enjoying the channel. Devon must have been a nice place to grow up, as you say it's full of wonderful landscapes with some great rides. It felt strange at first visiting our home country as travelers but it really reminded us what a beautiful place it is. We hope you enjoy the rest of the series. Regards Sean and Emily

Went to college in Plymouth and my sister lives in north Devon. We have just visited for her daughter’s wedding and I’d forgotten how lovely the West Country is, must get back there on my motorbike. As you are ex pats its interesting seeing your you enjoying our lovely country and appreciating the stunning scenery. It may be not as grand as Switzerland but it’s pretty spectacular. By the way the boulders are a unique feature to the West Country called tors.

Hi Ian, it's a lovely part of the country for sure great to have the Dartmoor national park and be so close to the coast too. Congratulations for your daughters wedding and we hope you all had a great day. Yeah it was an interesting experience for us travelling through our home country like this, lots of new areas for us yet familiar at teh same time. Yeah a contrast to Switzerland but as you say spectacular in it's own way with unique architecture and raw landscapes. Thanks, they did look unique! So very glad we made sure to ride this one, it was difficult sometimes deciding what to leave out as there is only so much one can do in 4 weeks 😎👍

Really enjoyed the commentary and the filming. You two do a great job. When we were in the UK last year we didn't have the time to explore the Dartmoor area. It looks like a place where a one could enjoy a wonderful experience. Thanks for sharing. We rode close to the coast heading west from Portsmouth then north towards Wales. My mothers family came from the Bath area and we took the opportunity to explore the town a little. We were so fortunate to have lovely weather. Like you we found some secondary roads as we went north. My wife did some research and picked a great route that took us to Holyhead.

Hi, thanks very much -we appreciate you taking the time to say so 😊. Yeah the Dartmoor area is really nice, but you are right it takes a lot of time to get there. Sounds like a great route you did and nice you got to see Bath (not enough time for us on this trip). The journey through Wales must have been great too 😎👍🏻. Really glad to hear you had good weather for your trip. What time of year did you go? Statistically May is the driest 😁

@SeanandEmily5 ай бұрын
Hi Johan, Yeah we were lucky to grow up riding those country lanes - really missed them so nice to be back 😊. Well most our trips we don't book accommodation until about an hour or 2 before we need it, but as we have only so much free time the route we need to have down otherwise we would end up not having time for places like Scotland and Ireland later on in the trip. But yea totally agree not having a fixed place to be is indeed a feeling of freedom 😊

In fact crazy amounts of rain and giant thunderstorms (usually what we expect in March/April) but its looks like its good from next week. Another great video guys, nice countryside and roads, you 2 always bring a smile to my face. If I may ask a question, how water proof is the DJI Mic/receiver, as I see you have it connected to the front camera. Have you ever considered the DJI Action 4 camera and the newer DJI Mic 2?, which uses bluetooth to connect camera and mic directly? Looking forward especially to when you arrive in Ireland :)
@SeanandEmily5 ай бұрын
Hi Tim, thanks very much that made our day 😊. It's not very waterproof at all lol and has to be covered in the wet. We are using the Action Cam 4's and do own the MIC2's unfortunately however the Action 4 only supports 1 Microphone via Bluetooth (hoping this gets sorted in the next update). Can't wait to share the Ireland part of the tour , we got some spectacular footage 😊
@timcully47065 ай бұрын
@@SeanandEmily Thanks for the info :) I thought it looked like an action 4, but thought you normally use GoPros, That's good to know it only records one mic, I have the DJI Mic one kit, and it is super for Wedding etc, I've never had an action cam on bike, still don't own one lol, but was thinking I might get an action 4 for my tour in Spain next month. Your 2 camera set up works really well, and Emily really get the best out of the hand held one, no easy feat, super impressed with all the footage, drone footage and quality audio. It makes your videos really stand out!! If I may, can I ask, what mount you use to secure the camera to the front of bike and also, do you have the DJI mic stuck inside the helmet, or do you use Lav mics into the DJI mics. Sorry for the long reply. PS I know you have already completed your going west tour, but if you are ever planing on coming back to N Ireland and need a bed for the night, I have an Airbnb, which I would be happy to give you a free Night and Breakfast. Thanks again for sharing all your tours, You both have really inspired me :)

Yeah we switched to DJI from Gopro since the Corsica tour, the quality is great from both cameras but we felt GoPro has stopped improving the usability of their product but keep increasing the price. Being able to change a battery without having to take the whole camera off is enough of a reason to change and as our other products are DJI it made sense -although we were disappointed about the 1 bluetooth microphone. Rumour is the action 5 comes out this year so will be interesting to see how that is. Yeah Emily does an amazing job recording from the back and gets angles that are impossible from a static camera. We are using the GoPro setup to mount the front camera and are very happy with the results. Thanks very much that's really kind of you, I'm sure it wont be the last time we visit Ireland 😊

Traveling 8500 Km in 4 weeks through countess locations and all you have to say is that there was a tiny slip up on something that’s recorded live, says a lot about you.
@TheFlaneur-up1ft5 ай бұрын
@@SeanandEmily I’m sure you did ride a lot of miles and that’s good for you. It’s all about you and not the places you are travelling as that plainly shows. Maybe actually enjoy and research places properly rather than ride through dissing what they really are. I couldn’t care less about you, but I was interested to see where you went and maybe learn something I don’t already know. I wonder how many people will be heading to the ancient Forrest’s of Dartmoor. As a side note there are some of the oldest European rain forests around Dartmoor.. but you knew that didn’t you.

You watch one episode and think you know us. We don’t create these videos for the likes of you, it must be great to go through life without making a single mistake. The reason people like vlogs like this is that they are unreversed, honest and genuine. Perhaps you should focus on scripted content where weeks are dedicated to create a 30 minute episode. Or perhaps continue to pull people up over tiny mistakes to make yourself feel better about yourself. it’s funny, of the tens of thousands of comments we have had you are probably the first to be this petty so you can count yourself as special after all.
