Skálmöld is a very well known band here in Iceland and i've met many of the members, their guitarist used to work as a music teacher at my local school.

For September releases, definitely the most stoked for Cryptopsy on 9/8 and Wormhole on 9/22. The two singles that Wormhole dropped are incredible, super heavy but atmospheric, with really creative drumming and heavy vocals. Musically, they’re starting ti sound a lot like Disentomb or Artificial Brain, but with their own twist. Absolutely killer. Then there’s the legends Cryptopsy, who are undoubtedly going to slay with this next record. Hopefully we get a review of that one!

I will check out that Meurtieres record FOR SURE, as I loved their 2020 EP. Also excited for Spirit Adrift and Horrendous (both coming out on my birthday 🥳), but the album I'm most anticipating this month has to be Asking Alexandria's new album Where Do We Go From Here? that is coming out on Better Noise on August 25th. It's not even really being pushed by the band or their label at all and something tells me that this is gonna' be the last AA album ever... I hope I'm very wrong about that prediction.
