Honestly, when you boil it down, there aren’t any original ideas. Especially in genre fiction. Just reimaginings of the wheel. What really matters is the execution. And, unfortunately, remakes generate interest, regardless if it’s positive or negative.

All movies are the same now. There is no originality in the scripts, acting and music. These movies have nothing to do with the art of cinema. If someone tells an interesting event that happened to them, it will be more exciting than the movies.

It’s unfortunate that a movie as perfect as the Road House has to remade. It’s just really sad that apparently there are no original ideas and lack of creativity for movies being released and they have to remake movies. Leave the original alone. Road House is awesome the way it was. No remakes needed. No offense to Jake. Otherwise, there are several movies on this list that I am looking forward in seeing (thrillers and horror).

It’s just a scape from reality, that it isn’t political. If there were a bunch of movie about priests raping kids and politicians grooming little underage beauty queens into wife people would be screaming woke. So yeah this type of movies are a nice break. Comedy, horror etc

yeah, reminds me of the other '80s remakes no one asked for like Valley Girl, Red Dawn, Point Break, Robocop. When the original is a classic you better be able to be able to absolutely do it better, or bring some new or different take that improves on it. Otherwise remaking classics is just an attempted cash grab that rarely succeeds that well, That goes for classics of any era. Oh, and Point Break might have been '90s, but it also had Patrick Swayze, and the remake sucked.

As a Catholic, I hate those horror movies that use Catholicism in them, especially the one in this line of movies. Disgusting. They make it look like the devil is very powerful. Gods of the Deep looks like yet another one of those movies where the setting could have been cool, but looks like cheesy budget cut nonsense. The sub itself, if making any sense, outta looked much more cramped with space. Instead, it looks like they have checked into a run down hotel instead.

I'm a horror fanatic I've been disappointed in most movies that have came out recently but for those who love horror like me "The Conference" on Netflix was one of the best I've seen in some time. As for this list Immaculate is one I'm really looking forward to because of Sydney Sweeney.

Sleeping Dogs - Yea! Cool ASMR dialogue, with a consistent cacophony of several someones, beating the hell out of all manner of drums, and banging the crap out of metallic whatnots. What a fun couple of hours that one seemed to be! And Road House - if you're going to almost completely alter the story, why bother using the same name - be creative - how good can the movie be when the writers couldn't even think of a new, original name?
