Telegrapher analog everything... Very promising. The only thing left to know is if the crossover has the time and phase of the transducers adjusted.
@telegrapherloudspeakers7 ай бұрын
Hey there, Yes, we time-align all drivers (transducers) so that sound reaches a specific point from different drivers simultaneously. This is also referred to as the acoustic center of the speaker. To achieve this, we use all-pass filters, which also change the phase of the sound. However, at that specific point, all the phases align perfectly. We're aware that this detail is overlooked in most speakers, but for us, perfection is key :D

Agree, but I wish they went with a digital DSP. Analog is taking a step back.

Nah DSP colours the sound …. Analogue is where it’s at.
@THEKITPLUG8 ай бұрын
@@RH-sw8vg Properly tuned DSP will be a flat signal. At the end of the day, it all comes down to measurement in an anechoic chamber. One can make analog crossovers just as flat as DSP. However, DSP allows for more flexibility. Technically speaking, you can make analog crossovers color the sound even more than DSP. It all depends on how you design it, assuming you are measuring everything the same.
@RH-sw8vg8 ай бұрын
@@THEKITPLUGhave you heard them though ? We went to the studio demo after the show and I can honestly say I’ve never heard anything quite like them. Better than anything else I’ve heard. So long DSP …. 👋 😊 it’s analogue for me.
@THEKITPLUG8 ай бұрын
@@RH-sw8vg I have no doubt these things are incredible and just as accurate as any monitor with DSP, I just like the modern flexibility of DSP.

The Telegrapher guy is slightly misleading. Class D amps aren't analog. They're digital. Specs on their website.
@telegrapherloudspeakers7 ай бұрын
Hey buddy, thank you for pointing this out; we also noticed it was a bit confusing. Class D amplifiers are often referred to as digital amplifiers, although this isn't entirely accurate. They are actually analog amplifiers. They use pulse-width modulation (PWM) or other digital techniques to control the amplifier. The reason they're sometimes called "digital" is because the modulation technique can resemble digital signal processing methods, but the amplification process itself is analog. In the video, our friend mentions that our signal path is analog, which is entirely true. However, he shouldn't have said "100% analog amps," as this creates confusion. A clearer way to express this would be, "Our signal path is 100% analog." Thanks again.
@lukapogo7 ай бұрын
@@telegrapherloudspeakers Thanks for replying. I wouldn't have been as blunt hadn't the guy been so adamant about the amps being fully analog in the video. You are right in terms of class D technically being analog, but then so is every other digital component if we're being pedantic. Especially nowadays, the distinction between A/AB/D is so far beyond what's audible to us that it mostly stays in the domain of audiophile measuring territory, at least in the high end. Still, the differences in SINAD and efficiency between classes are real, i just wanted to clarify this.

Telegrapher not going to last long in this industry… 10000$ for a pair with no dsp 😂
@telegrapherloudspeakers7 ай бұрын
Actually, using a DSP in the speaker is the easy part. Making it active and analog, however, is the challenging route. Not trying to spark a digital vs. analog debate, but pursuing an analog (active) solution is truly what you should aim for in a speaker :)
