Us bank altitude connect is the king of 0 annual fee travel card imo: free 5gb data/15days, 4 priority pass including restaurants, no FCF, $100 TSA pre credit and trip cancellation/delay/interruption insurance. This card is SOOOOOOO over powered

Im surprised the Kroger line of cards didn't at least get an honorable mention. 5% on mobile wallet is nothing to sneeze at. If the 3k annual cap is too restrictive, just get 2 (or more) of them.

That’s amazing. No annual fee?

@@johnt6806 wait but is this 5% on any mobile purchase or just at Kroger stores. From what I’m reading it sounds more like mobile pay at Kroger stores essentially making it a store card not a category card
@johnt68067 күн бұрын
@@vebtranthere are two separate 5% categories. One is for just Kroger stores. The other is for mobile wallet on all non-Kroger stores. They each have their own independent caps. The non-Kroger mobile wallet cap is 3k per year.

@ thanks for the clarification. Their site made it seem like mobile at Kroger, since it said mobile at Kroger gas would not be 5%

Are there caps on the AAA cards? I see the little “3” at the end so wasn’t sure if it had limits or not.
@johnt680610 күн бұрын
@@Pete_5309 $500 in cash back per year for the AAA Daily advantage. So that's a 10k cap if you only use it for groceries. Or a 16,666 cap if you only use it at Costco. I personally use about 7k on groceries and about 5k at Costco which comes in at around $500 in cash back. I should also mention as someone who has owned both the Amex BCP and the AAA Daily advantage, the AAA card is much broader in what is included in the "Grocery" category. The AAA card can be used at my farmers market and get 5% but the Amex only got 1%.

I think the Elan clone of the USB Cash+ should be on the honorable mention list. Found at many regional banks

When the discover/capital one merger is fully done. Do you think capital one will get rid of the discover it card? Leave it alone? Or just change it to another Quicksilver card eventually?
@GangGang-c9i7 күн бұрын
If only amex had a 2% personal no annual fee card. I would cut up all my other cards and only use the amex card.

Oh wow! I just got a $300 bonus from the Amex Schwab investor card for 1k spend & the quicksilver has a $300 bonus as well with a referral link from a cardholder

Verizon Visa, if you’re a customer, 4% gas, 4% groceries, 4% restaurants is pretty hard to beat. Although you have to deal with Synchrony, the bank that I think runs their transactions on a 1980s PC and dialup internet

The only thing worse than foreign transaction fees is how you pronounce ‘Fidelity’.

What about PayPal Mastercard?
@jeremymoore45010 күн бұрын
Paypal Mastercard is 3 percent through Paypal. You have to have a paypal account to get it. But the rewards for using the card dropped to 1.5 percent back now and there is FTFs when there wasn't before. Synchrony nerfed the card on purpose to push people to use paypal. You can only use it online now.

I think the Freedom unlimited is starting to get outpaced by the 2% cards out there including ones with similar bonuses for those cards

I’ve never understood the rotating categories people. Y’all only buy gas or groceries 1/4 of the year?
@newagain996411 күн бұрын
Yeah I don’t do that rotating cats. It’s more work than having a Cpl credits on a card.

There are a couple cards that have it, you make sure you have more than just one. It’s complementary to earning more points than just dumping everything to a 1.5 or 2 point card.

Adam is beginning to decline in his advice. He left off like 2-4 excellent cards that he’s actually recommended in the past so I know he knew about them. Odd
@johnt680610 күн бұрын
@@frankbradford9616 can you give an example? He added the caveat that he was only including cards that you didn't have to jump through hoops. The Amazon card, for example, requires a Prime subscription. The Kroger cards, for example cannot be acquired in every state (though they can in most states). What card is not restricted that Adam has endorsed that he didn't put on his list?
